Happy Friday my lovelies! I hope you’ve all had a brilliant week and are ready for the weekend… which starts, for me, pretty much now!! Before I reach for a prosecco though, I LOVE today’s featured wedding and have been so excited to share it with you!!! Gorgeous Krissy and Simon’s beach pics are my fave, they’re wonderful.

Super lovely English Wedding Blog sponsor Ayshea Goldberg got in touch a little while ago  with this lovely wedding from May. She told me the weather wasn’t great (VERY windy and chilly) but Krissy and Simon still insisted on going to the beach for their photos – and we’re both thrilled that they did!

“The day was full of homemade details, Krissy’s nanna had made the silk flower bouquets (which looked really nice), and Krissy made all the bunting and table centrepieces herself. The cake was made by Simon’s Mum in their favourite flavours – including a gluten free option. Their cake topper included a little black cat as they have a rescue cat called Winnie. They wanted a very DIY, easy going vibe which is exactly what they achieved.”

Gill and Andy’s wedding is like a dream – the perfect beach location; breathtaking spots for those keep-forever photographs and the prettiest of seaside styling touches. They married at Tunnels Beaches in Devon, and chose Evolve Photography to capture their day and the fabulous Pumpkin & Pye for beautiful florals.

Gill’s bridal separates are exquisite – she knew she wanted a skirt and a top rather than a dress. “I tried on about 20 different dresses before I found a store that had a skirt and a top. I knew as soon as I put it on that it was the one! The designer was Karen Willis Holmes and the boutique I bought it from was Martin Charles Bridal in Peterborough. I couldn’t recommend Martin highly enough. He is incredibly talented and made my dress fit like a glove.

I decided that my dress was a statement enough and didn’t want it to be overpowered by lots of jewellery so I kept it simple. I had feather earrings which went with my boho theme and a bangle my mother had given to me for my something new with sapphires in it to match my engagement ring and wedding band.

I actually get butterflies when I scroll through these images. The spirit of our wild coastline is captured so perfectly, peacefully, bringing a sense of oneness with nature. I adore the landscapes – the dramatic Cornish coastline holds a piece of my heart, always. This is more than a collection of images: this is the freedom of spirit, the beauty I’d want to feel on my wedding day.

The incredible bridal separates are by Cornwall-based dressmaker Ailsa Munro. Ailsa’s bridalwear is insanely beautiful to wear, with such wonderful fabrics you’ll be smitten instantly. Any beach bride would feel like a goddess in this, don’t you think?

I adore our bride’s pretty but somehow beachy, surf-chick little plait; her jewellery is delicate, elegant and works perfectly with her look. Do please take a little time this morning to discover all of the wonderful suppliers involved in today’s wedding inspiration shoot, not least lovely Olivia Bossert Wedding Photography, who is based in Cornwall.

Almost every morning you’ll find me on the beach, or in the hills gazing down at the estuary below the village where I live. I have a thing for beach weddings – they’re the most amazing thing ever! I love the portraits of Michael & Sara, especially the black & white images on the sand… they’re gorgeous and this is incredible!

Photographers Emily & Steve told me “The Grand Hotel in Swanage is perched right on a cliff with steps down to the beach! It was stunning and the perfect location for a summer wedding. It was the first wedding we’ve been to where the guests suddenly started to serenade the couple with ‘Love is all around’. They were all swaying their arms and really getting into it! It was so much fun!”

My dress was in the first shop I went to and I hadn’t ever seen a wedding dress similar to it. I liked the front with a bit of sparkle but fell in love with the back with the cowel back, buttons and train. I did go to another shop to have a look but there was nothing anywhere near as beautiful so rushed straight back to Village Brides to buy it.

Do you love where you live? Do you have a favourite place where you can disappear and just sink yourself into a feeling of how beautiful the world is? I’m lucky: there are so many spots around my home on the edge of the Lakes, and it’s wonderful to see amazing photographers appreciating just how stunning this place is. Wedding photographer Jo Bradbury just took the place I love to a whole new level...

The striking seashore at Rampside on the edge of The Lake District was the inspiration behind this coastal styled shoot. With its quirky Victorian lighthouse, rusting fishing boats and grey green seagrass the shoreline made a perfect backdrop for a romantic and elegant sea themed bridal look.

Rampside itself is somewhat off the well trodden Lake District tourist trail, but is an absolute gem of a place with a sweeping coastline from which you can get a small ferry to Piel Island.

Is anyone else growing sunflowers? Mine are on the petite side… and I’m sure they’re meant to be as big as me! #notagardener… Unlike Elizabeth’s glorious sunflowers (by lovely Natasha at Pumpkin & Pye), which set the scene for a brilliantly sunny, beautifully styled and superbly photographed real wedding on the blog today!

I have so much to show you and Elizabeth and Daniel have shared a fantastic English Wedding Blog interview full of helpful advice, tips and wonderful enthusiasm and passion – they brought a tear to my eye with this:

The best thing about being married? “Having grown up together and been together for 15 years it is the icing on the cake – it completes our journey together. And it’s a great excuse to throw a brilliant party!”

The location is close to my heart. A beach wedding outdoors would be my dream come true. It’s unconventional and wildly beautiful, fun and encourages creativity. And speaking of beautiful… Elizabeth is stunning in her dress by Charlie Brear which she chose before she’d even seen it!

Hello everyone! I have a treat for us all today… it’s such a lovely week, we’re blessed with sunshine and I hope plenty of us will have a chance to visit the seaside this weekend. For once I’m heading away from the sea for a bit of a treat… but I’ll tell you more about that soon! It’s no secret that I love my home by the beach though, and a beach wedding always captures my heart. Shawn and Kwan’s wedding is one of those with lovely images and gorgeous details which I think you will love as much as I do!

My lovely friend and sponsor Kasia from Peppermint Love Photography has written this feature to share with you – there are links to lots more lovely pictures at the end of the post! Enjoy. And have an amazing weekend! Claire x

Aren’t they the most adorable couple? I love how light and summery their photos are.

I spotted Sarah and Ally’s dedication ceremony on the TP Photography website a week or two ago, and loved the striking images of their day. I also love to post something a little unusual from time to time.

This was a dedication ceremony rather than a wedding, but Sarah blew me away with her fantastic red wedding dress, and Ally looks fantastic in full Scottish attire: kilt, sporren, the lot. Enjoy!

A dedication ceremony can be held for many reasons: as a vow renewal, or to have your civil ceremony blessed by a vicar if you weren’t married in church the first time. The idea is to dedicate your marriage to God.
