Good morning beautiful! If you like flowers this is for YOU! Gorgeous, fun couple Steph and Rob’s beautifully relaxed Yorkshire wedding day was in two contrasting halves… with a city centre ceremony followed by a countryside reception full to the brim with country summer blooms! They chose a relaxed, vintage theme full of stunning summer flowers with such a gorgeous palette of colours – they’re perfect, and I just love everything about this wedding!

Hey there lovely! How are you getting on with the first week in April? It’s all lambs up here in the Lakes at the moment – they’re everywhere, and they’re SO cute!! I’m managing a pre-blogging walk in the countryside every morning, and loving it! So how’ve you enjoyed the blog so far this week? We began with Rachel & Steve’s gorgeous Iscoyd Park wedding, and yesterday was all about the florals at Almonry Barn… so today I thought a wonderfully warm autumn wedding would be a bit of a treat! Rob & Hannah were married at Wharfedale Grange, Yorkshire, in its very first year – it was still being built when they went to visit, but they trusted in the owner’s vision for this lovely venue, and Wharfedale turned out to be the perfect venue for their best day ever.

Two things I love more than anything today: brides in red, and grooms doing wedding interviews. So boy am I happy to be sharing this beauty of an “East meets West” wedding full of gorgeousness and vibrant colours and fabulous florals… and I just know you’ll love it too! Siren is stunning in a traditional Chinese wedding dress (and her evening dress in a lush dark green is just fabulous) – and lovely husband Greg’s response to my “did you fall in love with your wedding dress” question [below] filled me with happy chuckling [he totally means yes btw!] Images are by English Wedding member and super Yorkshire wedding photographer Stevie Jay Photography. Have a wonderful Sunday everyone!

Becky and Dan’s vintage DIY wedding is perfect, gloriously happy and colourful, and just seems so full of character and fun! Becky describes their day as “Completely DIY and disorganised! Perfect for us!” – and I love it. They tied the knot in church, then had afternoon tea in the scout hut next door and their evening reception was on the local bowling green! The gorgeous pics by Yorkshire wedding photographer Stevie Jay capture the spirit of their day brilliantly – what a fabulous, eclectic and fun couple! Congrats guys, you ROCK!

A LOT goes on at weddings. They’re magical, romantic… and the busiest days of our lives! With everyone we know all in one place, a schedule to be kept and plans to be followed, it’s no wonder the day goes by in a blur. The top piece of advice couples give in their English Wedding interviews is to take a moment to stop and take it all in, because everything happens in such a rush!
