I got married nearly nine years ago and I absolutely loved planning my wedding day. We carefully wove our love story into the details and special touches. We had recently moved from London to Bath and wanted all our city slicker friends to kick back and relax at our country house wedding. We were married in the church my family have always attended and headed to a country house to host our reception.
It’s all over so fast…
It was idyllic but as we drove away to our Italian honeymoon I had one regret. It wasn’t the menu, my dress or the flowers. It was that it didn’t last long enough.
You are as beautiful as you’ll ever be.
When you’re a grandma or a crazy great auntie you’ll look back on old pictures and know, see and appreciate just how beautiful you look today. Fact.
But if today you can’t see that, it’s time to take a deep breath and refocus. Because you’ve lost something precious which really, you should own.
We all have our little hangups – tummies, thighs, noses – imperfections we’re super conscious of sometimes.
But when you’re young they shouldn’t matter. They’re a part of you – and you ARE beautiful.
Happy summer, everyone! Can I say that? Is it officially summer yet? It’s beautiful here…

Jen and Joe had such a beautiful, summery wedding at Loseley Park with pretty florals and the most amazing backless lace dress. The look of their day was very English country wedding, and worked beautifully to create a fun and relaxed atmosphere. Family and friends decorated the venue, and Jen’s mum made all the macaroons herself – they look fab.
Images are by lovely Verity Quirk Photography, who gets a great review from our gorgeous bride and groom. Verity told me Jenny and Joe are huge G&T fans: “Their friends and family say they go together just as well at Gin & Tonic does, so at the end of their ceremony they both made a G&T together and shared it while leaving the ceremony! I LOVED that.
From the beautiful florals and Kelly’s gorgeous Stella York gown, to the statement table plan and the rainbow at the end of a perfect day, I am totally in love with today’s wedding feature. Kelly is stunning; David looks fantastic and they just make the loveliest couple ever, don’t you think?
