The key emerging trend for 2019 weddings right now seems to be minimalism – simple styling and elegant touches, with a focus on quality rather than quantity of styling touches! Tables and place settings can be kept beautifully clean with minimal fuss and subtle colours, bridal styling is only subtly hued and florals are soft, lush and green. Simplicity is beautiful; understated is our dream wedding look for the coming year!
If you’re busy planning your own wedding, chances are – like us – you’re going through that phase where all of your friends are tying the knot as well! We’re on a steady run of 2 weddings per year… and that means 2 outfits, 2 weekends away and 2 wedding gifts! When Truly Experiences got in touch I was delighted: they’re going to be a great place to find those unusual wedding gifts we’ve been looking for in the run up to all of our friends’ weddings! So with a warm welcome from me, our newest English Wedding team members are here to share their story with you today.
The South East is glorious place to get married: it’s home to countless fabulous venues, from majestic stately homes, to rustic converted barns, to dramatic coastal retreats, to ultra-chic cosmopolitan spaces in the nation’s capital.
The South East also happens to host a thriving wedding music scene. There’s an abundance of awe-inspiringly talented wedding bands and musicians located throughout the region, all competing with one another, driving the standard of performance ever higher.
As you’d imagine, London is the heart of this vibrant live music scene, but you’ll also find local wedding bands for hire for venues in Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, East Sussex, Hampshire, Kent, Oxfordshire, Surrey and West Sussex.
Good morning, beautiful! Today we’re sharing a key look for 2019 weddings – one that can be recreated easily once you ‘get’ the styling concepts – and one I know will make 2019 a year of weddings to remember. It’s all about understated elegance with careful attention to a few quality details. For me this is a look of almost effortless wedding style – combining simple, minimal details with the smallest touches of real luxury and softness. The florals are absolutely key: delicate and feminine blooms in a soft palette of ivory, nude, blush and soft peach with pops of glorious coral. Texture comes from hare’s tail grasses and striking white anthuriums, while white lilac and butterfly ranunculus bring softness to the look. The colours are what I love most about today’s floral design: those carefully arranged coral blooms really make the arrangements look contemporary and luxurious, don’t you think?
Happy Monday lovelies! How cold has it been this weekend though?! Even today I’m in my snuggliest jumper and slipper boots (the joy of working from home!) – but as ever, the beauty of a wedding blog is that we can take you back to warm summer days! And I have a beauty of a farm wedding for you today, with a (genius or what?!) chicken and egg theme. The cake is one of my fave details – and our beautiful bride and groom are here to tell you all about their day.
