Happy Wednesday, lovelies! I thought today I’d share something a little different with you. I have a confession to make: I’m shy. I’m shy of putting my face out there on the internet, I’m not a wannabe celebrity – just a girl who loves the beauty and creativity of weddings. So I hide behind the blog and rarely show my face! But it’s been a while since I published a personal post on the blog, and about time I introduced myself to those of you who are new to English Wedding. Welcome, by the way!

While we twiddle our thumbs and wait for summer, let’s think about honeymoons for a change! The lovely folks from 101 Honeymoons (who you will find in the English Wedding Directory) have shared some fave destinations with us today… and while I’m a Sugar & Loaf style, UK glamping girl at heart, those stunning blue seas and skies of the Maldives are looking pretty appealing right now! Which is your dream honeymoon destination?

To get on the blog, a wedding photo has to make me feel something. If I’m smiling back, or getting a bit emotional… then the photographer has done their job in capturing not just the timeline and details of the day, but its story and character. And Cris Lowis is a Staffordshire wedding photographer who grabs my heart and gives it a big old shake with every wedding he shares!

I’m Cris, a creative documentary wedding photographer based in Staffordshire.

I’m not one of those bossy photographers who’ll be shouting at everyone to stand in certain places.

There are a couple of important events in your life which deserve to be captured on film forever, with your wedding undoubtedly one of the most important ones.

But what can you do to make sure your wedding video captures the true beauty, love and emotion of your special day?
Your wedding day can feel like a blur, with nerves and excitement making the day pass in a flash. That’s why it’s important that your video can crystallise the parts of the day you may have missed forever.

Happy weekend, my lovelies! I’m busy teaching a modern calligraphy workshop at the fabulous Little Paper Shop in Nantwich, Cheshire today (head over to my insta @bymoonandtide for behind the scenes pics!) but of course I saved up something wonderful to share on English Wedding while I’m there! Senel from Bride and Belle and lovely Eva Tarnok used the history of Chiswick House as a basis of the inspiration for this wonderfully feminine and romantic, classic bridal editorial.
