English Wedding hit 10 years of wedding inspiration back in November. I don’t know where the time has gone – it feels like only yesterday this whole crazy snowball of a wedding blog began, and I love our little part of the internet as fiercely as ever! In 10 years though, I’ve changed. I’ve teetered around the edge of becoming wholly vegan for a few years (I’m still failing on chocolate) and I’m more and more conscious of the climate crisis with every passing week. So I’ve been thinking this morning about how I can really bring my little wedding blog more in line with my personal values.

This week is flying by! Can you believe there are only… 13 days left before Christmas?! Eeeek!! (We have a lovely schedule of features to share over Christmas by the way – I’m super excited to hit ‘publish’ again almost EVERY day through the Christmas break!) But first – a wonderfully elegant, graceful and enchanting wedding from Glemham Hall, with stunning bride Aimee and her handsome husband James! The happy pair were married in October, and describe their day as “Rustic, romantic, Autumnal, Scottish, elegant, with a grand staircase. Perfect.” That’s pretty much the loveliest wedding-in-a-nutshell description I’ve ever read! Images are by our wonderful friend Ayshea Goldberg Photography, and I hope you enjoy today’s real wedding as much as I do. Have a fabulous day!

Hello there, lovely! I am so excited to be sharing this gorgeous wedding with you this morning. The spring sunshine is guaranteed to warm your day – and Katherine is absolutely stunning in Maggie Sottero’s ‘Deirdre’ wedding dress. Katherine and Terran describe their day as “The best, most fun, day of our lives so far!” – and it really does look like the PERFECT wedding from their photos. The happy pair celebrated at Katherine’s parent’s farm near Wareham, Dorset – their reception was held in a beautiful sail cloth tent in a field. All images are by lovely Emma Gates Photography, who gets a glowing review from the bride and groom in their English Wedding interview below!

Happy Monday, lovelies! Are you looking for a little escape from all the pre-Christmas busy-ness out there? Because I have the perfect thing: a wonderfully relaxed and romantic, flower- and plant-filled wedding at The Great House, Sonning – and our gorgeous newlyweds Will & Karis who told me all about their best day ever! The images are glorious – they are by our friend and English Wedding member Damion Mower Photography, and the capture the beauty and spirit of the day so very, very well. As you might know, we ask all of our English Wedding couples to give an honest review of their favourite wedding suppliers, and Karis and Will’s review for Damion is just brilliant! I’ve included it at the top of the post for you today. All other suppliers are listed at the end of the feature, with some great tips from the happy couple on who to book for YOUR Berkshire wedding!

This year on English Wedding we’ve been lucky enough to explore some more of England’s finest wedding venues in person, by kind invitation of the owners. I’ve most recently stayed at The Wordsworth Hotel and Martin Dabek (a brilliant Bristol wedding photographer and member of English Wedding) was invited to review Berwick Lodge at the beginning of the year. This time, we were asked to review the Orchardleigh Estate, which is just 10 miles from Bath – and lucky Martin was ideally situated to go and find out all about this amazing wedding venue.
