I beg every couple out there, every bride and groom planning ahead for a 2021 or 2022 wedding – keep speaking to suppliers. Keep reaching out to photographers, venues, florists, dressmakers and all of the wonderful people who make weddings happen. We all need each other right now. I’ll be completely open with you: wedding businesses need your support. We need to know there are weddings being planned for the coming years – and by booking and even enquiring now, YOU WILL KEEP THE WEDDING INDUSTRY GOING.
Forgive me, lovelies, for having no words to share with you this morning. For every bride and groom left in limbo by this weekend’s announcement, and for every supplier in our beautiful industry – I am so, so very sorry. While I’m lost for words, I’d like to remind everyone about the #whataboutweddings movement. If you haven’t already seen it (and I know 58,000 of you already have) – their A Million Moments video is a heartwrenching watch. You can find it here.
Today’s wedding style inspiration is just fabulous – the dress steals the show, it was Jen’s actual dress from her wedding to Elliott in 2019 – a custom design based on a beautiful Maggie Sottero gown, brought to life by Nicole at Elise Designs. Jen’s childhood hobby was designing wedding dresses and this was her dream dress – I think we can safely say it’s ours too?!

Today’s wedding inspiration is dreamily dark and daring – perfect for the occasion! Tonight – if legends are to be believed – the gates to other worlds are opened and spirits can pass between… Also, we get to light candles, dress up and watch a cracking horror. (has anyone seen The Haunting of Bly Manor?) In the meantime… wedding blogs are going to be rather fabulous today so do check them all – I’d like to think lovely Noemi at Thyme Lane Photography has come up trumps with this AMAZING inspiration filled with smoke bombs, dark sparkles and the most incredible styling creations!
Morning lovely! Aren’t the autumn vibes from this photo just glorious? I’m thrilled to bring you stunning Lana and James’s wedding in Cornwall today. The fabulous pair were married waaaaay before lockdown, and their 1940s inspired wedding is glamorous, sophisticated and full of love and warmth. All images are by our lovely English Wedding member and friend Tracey Warbey Photography. With love,

How did you choose your photographer?
I loved Tracey’s candid and natural style – her photographs look happy and spontaneous! When we met she was very down-to-earth, friendly and enthusiastic which I loved.
