It feels like summer when I look at today’s wedding – I’m beaming back at my screen and totally head over heels in love with the images of Josie and Joe’s day. It was a super hot day; their tipis provided beautiful shade and the styling and florals create the perfect summer vibe. Josie is resplendent in a delicately patterned lace dress by Agnes; Joe’s tweed suit says English country gent to a T! I LOVE the sunflower signage, the DIY elements and the glorious summer vibe of their wedding – and of course the joyful images by Benjamin Wetherall Photography. I just know you’ll adore this one too!
Did I ever tell you how incredibly lucky I feel to do this for a living? Writing about gorgeous weddings, scrolling through eye-dazzling images of love and joy all day long? It’s a pretty special way to spend the days, and I’m feeling incredibly blessed this week with such dreamy content to share with you! Today’s couple are stunning Phoebe & Ed, who married at Childerley Hall in Cambridge and chose our friend and top UK wedding photographer Richard Skins to capture their day. Phoebe’s dress is just….. ahhh I don’t even have words: it’s more beautiful than beautiful has ever been before!
So how’s that first day back at work going?! For me it’s a good one – I’ve packed and posted seven calligraphy orders already, my desk is almost clear – and I only have 70 or so emails in my inbox to reply to! Happy Tuesday, lovelies! I’m still away from my desk on a Big Adventure – but of COURSE I’d never leave you without something beautiful to feast your eyes on. Today’s Parley Manor wedding is full of glorious sunflowers, with stunning bride Carley rocking an unusual and beautiful Maggie Sottero gown. She and handsome hubby Dan describe their wedding as a “relaxed cocktail fuelled sunny garden party in the perfect setting” – which is everything I think a wedding should be!
It has been a whirlwind of a week here at English Wedding HQ! I’ve typed up a 105-page modern calligraphy workbook, written a gold ink wedding table plan and menus for a November wedding, and planned in a bunch of gorgeous real weddings for the autumn – so I’m mega happy it’s Friday today! Having gorgeous couple Charlotte and Dexter on the blog makes it even more special – this is an AMAZING wedding and I just know you’ll love these two – I mean just look at this stunning golden hour photo!!!
