Hey beautiful! Today’s wedding is a treat – an all-out floral feast in the simplest of colour schemes, with stunning images and a focus on family. This Mill Barns in Alveley wedding has pretty much everything – and I love the images, by Deborah at Stott Weddings. The styling and lighting makes this a really impressive day to share on the blog – with Perfectly Unique Occasions providing a floral arch and blossom canopy trees to style the ceremony and wedding breakfast tables.
A black tie wedding… the most amazing boho dress covered in delicate sparkles… and more fun and laughter and PARTYING than you’d think you could fit into one day. This wedding – as they always are when our friends and sponsors at York Place Studios are involved – is an absolute blast of beautiful and playful, and I LOVE it.
The Normans venue is a charming, rustic space on a working farm just outside York. Covered in twinkling fairy lights, it’s welcoming and picture perfect inside and out. The courtyard is wonderful on a sunny day, and as evening sets guests can relax in the cow shed (snug) or grain shed (ultimate party space!) – take a look at http://thenormansweddings.co.uk
Hey lovelies! Welcome to Monday… and to a fabulous festival wedding in June at Northside Farm, Northumberland. This is a beautiful barn venue with glamping huts & tipis for brides, grooms and guests can stay in. Gorgeous bride Laura and dapper hubby Daryl enjoy their festivals, and with TONS of wonderful handcrafting. Laura worked on her wedding stationery almost every night for a YEAR! She also learned how to crochet so she could make blankets for her guest in case they got cold in the evening! Laura describes their wedding as “3 days of pure joy and happiness” – and it shows in the pics. I hope you love all these ideas as much as I do!
A blissfully beautiful real wedding for you this Friday… I’ve been excited to share this one, and I just know you’ll love it! Becky and Martin married in July 2018 at Cooling Castle barn in Kent. They have a shared love of travel and adventure, and styled their wedding with nods to this from globes to photographs on each table and little mini travel cameras – the theme of travelling was all around.
The biggest change in weddings in the last five years has been in venues. Back in the day, you hired a big country house hotel and / or a marquee. Now it seems half of our weddings in the UK are in barns and fields – and I LOVE that! It gives you so much more creative freedom to style your day – and fits perfectly with three MAJOR wedding styles: barn weddings, festival weddings and tipi weddings.
