Happy weekend!! Oh, this one’s been a long time coming… we’re heading out to the Lakes for adventures today, but I had to share this gorgeous wedding with you first! Beautiful bride Sarah and gorgeous hubby’s Rob’s big day was in Worcestershire, with the reception in a 15th century barn (The Fleece Inn, Bretforton). I love the warm atmosphere of their day which just shines in all the photos – Sarah’s smile and oh, that dress!!!
Barns make beautiful, versatile wedding venues and the way they are styled can make all the difference to the feel of your barn wedding! Whilst some are new and purpose built venues or have been dramatically renovated most were built with very different intentions, so whilst having lots of character they can appear cold or agricultural which may not be the look that you are going for.
1. Adding softening textures to barn spaces
I know: festival-esque isn’t even a word (even if I try and make it look like one by adding a hyphen). But it perfectly describes the wonderful spirit and sense of fun in today’s glorious barn wedding – and I know you’ll get it when you see the fabulous photos telling the story of Helena and Chris’s wedding day.
Today’s gorgeous bride and groom married at Kingsthorpe Lodge – a lovely barn wedding venue on the Cambridge /Northamptonshire border. Images are by the fabulous York Place Studios, UK & worldwide documentary wedding photographers. Discover them here…
