Happy Sunday, beautiful! How’s your weekend going? I forgot to tell you – we spent last night at The Wordsworth in Grasmere, a gorgeous spot for a wedding – so waking up this morning was absolute bliss! I’ll tell you all about it later in the week 🙂 For today though, something VERY special. We’ve been chatting to the wedding & events team at the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford recently – it’s a breathtaking and wonderfully unique wedding venue with a stunning balance of contemporary architecture and historic backdrops – half a million years of art and history, to be precise! Today we’re sharing a bridal photoshoot at the Ashmolean, so you can see the place for yourselves… isn’t it incredible?!

Most of us will have experienced the joys of an English summer festival; whether it’s on a huge scale like Glastonbury or a low-key local affair, we can all relate to lying back on the warm grass with a cool pint of something by our sides as the tunes drift over the crowds, stirring memories or awakening moods within us. Or perhaps it’s more a case of trying to stay upright in the torrential rain and mud as our friends fall about laughing at our efforts… either way, the festival vibe is something dear to many of us and evokes powerful feelings of friendship, togetherness, of finding your tribe and one heck of a party.

Oh thank goodness it’s Friday at last! I’ve been looking forward to sharing this beautiful wedding with you lovely lot all week! Our gorgeous couple are childhood sweethearts Joe and Kerry, who were married in church and celebrated at The Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich.

Their day is classic and beautiful – the dress is stunning and traditional with gorgeous, intricate detailing and a full skirt. Joe’s suit is accessorised with pretty pale pink accents, which tie in with Kerry’s bouquet and the lovely bridesmaids’ dresses. The day is pretty and feminine, luxurious and full of love and laughter – it’s a perfect way to end our week, and I hope you love this as much as I do!

One of these little beauties is totally on my birthday list this year! I’m delighted to be introducing lovely Nikki Stark Jewellery to you today, and thrilled to say Nikki is an English Wedding member. Her rings and necklaces are perfectly crafted, and there’s just something about a piece of jewellery made by hand and with love, especially when it comes to wedding rings… don’t you think?

Elegant, ethical jewellery, hand crafted to order.

There are a lot of facets to the jewellery industry, and when I was younger I had images of sparkly, Oscars ceremony worthy costume jewellery all over my walls. These pieces however have minimal use for most of us.

Stunning countryside, historic cities, and a proud industrial heritage make the Midlands region of the UK one of the prettiest locations to host your wedding! From the picturesque Wye River Valley to the stunning Malvern Hills, there’s plentiful gorgeous countryside to enjoy, while historic and attractive towns like Warwick and Stamford are home to wedding venues where you can tie the knot in style.

The Midlands is renowned for producing some incredible musicians too – Just think of all the bands and artists Birmingham alone has churned out! Black Sabbath, Dexy’s Midnight Runners, Duran Duran, The Spencer Davis Group, UB40, and countless others all hail from the Midland’s financial and cultural epicentre, which to this day hosts a vibrant live music scene.
