Hannah & Ian’s vibrant autumn wedding at Totworth Court, with Love In Focus
Here’s something wonderful for all of you autumn brides and grooms – a wedding full of warm styling touches and golden sunshine. I adore the portraits of the happy couple under the turning leaves; Hannah is so beautiful and radiant in the most delicate lace detailed wedding dress, and the candles and cake table are just perfect for the season. (Three wedding cakes – chocolate brownie, cheese and pork pie!!! Love this!)

When I arrived in the morning it looked like we were in for a chilly and foggy autum day, there were clouds and fog and it had rained the day before so I didn’t have high hopes for the weather that day. Fortunately the Orangery at De Vere Tortworth Court is essentially a huge green house so even on the darkest of days there is plenty of light.
I went up to meet Hannah in her room who was getting ready with her bridesmaids and the best woman – Ian’s sister. After getting a few details and shots of the girls getting ready I headed over to the other side of the hotel to grab a few quick shots of Ian getting ready too before dashing over to the orangery to get a few more pictures before everyone arrived.
Knowing that Hannah would be almost ready by this time I headed back to her room to get a few more shots of the girls getting ready and then some of Hannah in her dress (which she looked stunning in!).
By now the guests were arriving so everyone made their way over to the Orangery to wait for Hannah’s entrance.
It was a beautiful ceremony and during it the clouds parted so as Hannah and Ian exited as husband and wife they walked out into beautiful autumn sunshine!
While the guests enjoyed canapes and drinks in the garden I took the two of them off to get a few couples shots around the gorgeous grounds and then left them to hang out with their guests before dinner.
This gave me a chance to get a few shots of the very impressive trio of cakes that Ians mother had provided and was a surprise for the happy couple. Ian’s mum runs a deli so was well positioned to lay it all on. The chocolate brownie cake she made herself. I got to try a little of it later on and it was delicious!
After dinner and speeches we were lucky enough to get a gorgeous sunset so I took hannah and Ian out to get a couple more shots before they came back in for their first dance.
Congratulations to Hannah and Ian, it was a beautiful day, I had a great time shooting it and am grateful to have been a part of it.
