I lived in Italy for 5 months as a student, and fell head over heels in love with it! I still speak enough Italian to get by, but the thought of planning a wedding, even with the little experience I have, is a bit scary. I have huge admiration for Michelle Jacobs, owner at Elegante by Michelle J and the UK’s very best Italian wedding planner. (I also love scrolling through the stunning photos of weddings in Italy on her socials – they’re always breathtaking.) I spotted a blog by Michelle where she talks really honestly about the reality of planning a wedding in Italy from the UK. It’s brilliant, super useful and I wanted to share some highlights with you on here (with Michelle’s permission of course).

Your wedding day is a whirlwind of unforgettable moments—heartfelt vows, joyful tears, and epic dance moves. But even with a professional photographer capturing the highlights, some of the most special memories are the candid ones snapped by your guests. The challenge? Gathering all those incredible photos in one place. That’s where Eventoly comes in, offering an effortless, app-free way to collect and share wedding photos from guests using a simple QR Code for Wedding Pictures.

I’m so thrilled to be sharing this super colourful, joyful wedding with you today. As well as the gorgeous photos by my friend Jaye, Lake District wedding photographer at Jaye Peg Photography, I’m really happy to have a long list of amazing supplier reviews from Shireen and Phil – starting, of course, with absolutely brilliant Jaye! This wedding has been a dream to scroll through this morning, and I hope you’ll adore it as much as I do. One last thing – Shireen added a beaming happy emoji to every supplier review which my website wouldn’t let me include… but they’re there in spirit, adding to the happiness! Your favourite people are excited to see you celebrate your love, and if you find a way to do that which feels authentic, comfortable, and really personal, it will be an unforgettable day! Here’s how to sidestep the ‘everywedding‘ trap of samey styling, and create your own unique and beautiful wedding – with help from our favourite wedding experts!

When decision overload creeps up on you, and you’re running out of time as the big day approaches, your health can take a back seat as you prioritise all your wedding arrangements.
