Team E-Lope created THE perfect mini outdoor, romantic and playful Easter wedding blueprint at The Castle Westenhanger, Kent. The colour palette was a meltingly delicious milk chocolate combined with a cute duck egg blue, and no Easter would be complete without a hint of carrot! Seriously, with a mix of the traditional and some unexpected styling and props, there are so many adorable and inspiring ideas to add to your mood boards to help you to create the cutest Easter inspired minimony.

Playful Easter table décor

Creating a beautiful table setting is an essential element of hosting a successful Easter Wedding Brunch, whether for a small micro wedding or for an elaborate feast. Team E-Lope set up for two adults, two children, and Yogi the dog, outside under the holly tree, just in front of the Mansion. With pompoms swaying overhead and the balloons climbing and winding their way up the trunk, they gave the vibe of a grown-up funky, fun Afternoon Easter Tea Party.

From the milk chocolate balloons, chocolate was seemingly spilling out of every vessel. But of course, no Easter wedding would be complete without the perfect food for an elopement. The multi-award-winning independent caterer, Touchays, created bespoke micro menus. Menu one was the most delicious Quintessential Afternoon Tea for Two, and menu two was an Intimate Sharing & Sweet Treat Platter for two, and Clare provided fun ‘Treat boxes’ for the two children. To accompany this mini wedding breakfast, carrot and orange juice was poured for the younger guests and then team E-lope cracked open the bubbles and topped up the flutes with champagne for the adults.

Serena of Cobi and Coco brought spring to life with the fabulous wedding cake tower, decorated with delicate handmade sugar flowers that included hydrangea, bluebells and snowdrops.  The multi-award-winning cake designer created this alternative wedding cake, using layers of luscious lemon and elderflower and sweet elderflower buttercream, coated with a creamy white chocolate ganache!

The Easter wedding favours were naturally hand-dyed real eggs. Serena got busy at home experimenting with some boiled eggs in cooked red cabbage. We think the results are gorgeous.

Stationery Easter treats

Team E-Lope believe that whole heartedly just because they specialise in small weddings, it doesn’t mean you shouldn’t include stationery. Their view is that receiving a designed invite is just as saliant for a tiny gathering as it is for a large wedding. So, they invited Ribbons n’ Wren to create the perfect Easter elopement suite of stationery.

The Easter-themed wedding invitation arrived in the most delightful ‘carrot’ lined envelopes, with the menus and name cards tied with orange and white twine. The invites were placed in birds’ nests, next to a carrot tree decoration and the hand-dyed eggs. Like a sleeping beauty, the nest sat on top of a stack of plates culminating in a large 10 1/2” Emma Bridgewater’s classic vintage Egg & Feather design – perfect for an Easter Wedding treat.

On the Mansion’s front door, Ruth of Mimi Fleur added a wreath to give a spring welcome to the wedding day décor, beckoning the family inside where the team had set up a cosy wedding brunch – just in case the weather was inclement. Ruth decorated the table with dainty potted Grape Hyacinths using Bun moss and white spring tulips.

The Spring wedding bouquet

The pretty, charming, and scented, early-spring bridal bouquet was created using delicate lilac and pastel blue hues. From the buttercup family, every Lavender Minstral Anemone bud is a delight as it opens. The fragrant bouquet also included a fantastic new rose – Early Grey rose from Equador, and Ruth added soft pastel grey Pampas Grass, Bunmoss, Scented Muscari and Lilac Genesta.

Getting into the Easter Spirit

Yogi wore his very own Yudote natural plaid ribbon cotton dog collar with detachable Bowtie. Our model, Edith wore a beautiful boho, off the shoulder wedding dress, with pretty flower appliques which is part of Molly Dolly’s 2021 Mille May Bridal Collection and has already been a first choice with brides. Molly Dolly’s opens in Hythe, a stone’s throw away from the Castle.

Make up was by Lisa, at Perfect Wedding Hair Kent. She used a primer to ensure longevity and freshness with a natural and low key colour pallet but contrasted this with a ‘smoked out’ dark look around the eyes. Depth of colour on the cheek was given, along with contouring with a semi-matt lipstick. Edith’s hair was volumised with a powder spay and a quiff, with lots of lift to set off the hair accessory.

So, sit back and enjoy this fantastic Easter minimony captured by the fabulous Fleur Challis. And remember; when you E-Lope, you can say goodbye to most of the to-do list, as the team creates your look, to simply melt your hearts!

All it leaves me to do is to wish you a Happy Easter Wedding, large or small!
