Vicky & Matt’s family focused, fun East Anglian Railway Museum wedding, with York Place Studios
2021 is speeding towards us and I’m starting to feel excited about weddings coming back and restrictions being gradually lifted. What a year we’ve had: things can only get brighter and happier from here! So today’s gorgeous couple Vicky & Matt’s way-before-covid wedding is as cheerful as it is beautiful (colourful paper lanterns in the ceremony room get a big YAY from me!) – and it’s one of those wonderfully authentic days full of joyful people – as every wedding should be. And of course, this fabulous day has the most amazing wedding photography by our friends at York Place Studios.
I can’t tell you often enough how important it feels to me to focus on your guests. I love a little detail or two to set the scene… and planning the pretty bits and bobs is the fun bit, of course! But on the day, now more than ever, it’s the people who’ll make your wedding amazing. Their happiness and love will shine. Families will reunite and old friendships will rekindle. This will make micro weddings and any bigger celebrations we’re allowed in 2021 and 2022 more special, more meaningful than any we’ve had before. If 2021 or 2022 is your year… you have an incredible, unique and poignant day to look forward to.
I wouldn’t be saying all this without lovely York Place Studios to remind me. These guys grab the heart and soul of English Wedding. Their documentary wedding photography style adventures beyond the ordinary: their images are bursting with personality, humour and stunningly composed. So as you scroll through today’s wedding take it slow: watch out for the moments which will lift and squeeze your heart – it’s a beauty.

Got to love the “Fork ‘Andles” shop in the background.
