Welcome to the weekend, lovely. I have some rather wonderful ideas to share with you this morning – and a message for those of you booking your weddings for 2021 and 2022: please, please shop local if you can. This fabulous styled shoot comes from a bunch of talented wedding creatives from Rutland. Even the dresses – which are absolutely lovely – are locally designed. The cakes, stationery, styling… it’s all just beautiful and a brilliant showcase of what independent wedding businesses can do to make your day amazing. Do share these images to your Pinterest boards, and watch our Insta as we’ll be sharing them later (bookmark and save your faves on there too!)
This elegant and timeless styled shoot brings together tradition with a nod to the latest wedding trends. Providing couples who aspire for a truly traditional English wedding, the inspiration of how to bring this to life with elements of contemporary style. Featuring dried flowers, acrylic touches, tall golden candlesticks and a showcase cake table. The colour palette focused on neutrals with touches of pink and greys.
Organised by Rutland Brides/In the Details who created the concept for the shoot, working closely with Jack at Pretty Quirky to bring the vision to life. The venue for the shoot was the The Falcon, Uppingham. A truly traditional venue in the historic marketplace of Uppingham. The shoot focused on their Garden terrace room which is also licensed for Civil ceremonies. It is a gorgeous room with lots of natural light and pretty chandeliers.
The shoot was full of the little details which couples can easily transfer ideas into their big day. Using only local suppliers, the aim for the shoot was to showcase what Rutland and the surrounding areas have to offer on their doorstep. It may only be the smallest county but it has heaps to offer!
Pretty Quirky created the beautiful breakfast table styling and elegant chair ties featuring dried flowers from Amanda Steele.
Showcase cake table, creating a picture perfect setting for cutting your cake, with lots of sweet treats from Love Life Eat Cake and The Kitsch Hen.
Stationery – Modern and timeless with vellum and wax seal details / Acrylic place settings with silk ribbon and tassels / Acrylic Signage
Dresses from Katie Dell – Independent British bridal label, designed locally in Kibworth. All of the dresses from the shoot were bespoke designs.
