Elegant, Modern Nude and Sage Green Inspiration Photoshoot
Good morning, lovelies. I hope you’ve had a relaxing and peaceful weekend. Today we bring you some timeless but modern wedding styling ideas from a group of talented suppliers in Hertfordshire. The look is simply perfect, with understated luxury and touches of sage green mingled with nude fabrics and gold accents. All images are by lovely Nicki at FJS Wedding Photography, and you’ll find a full list of the creatives involved below.
There is no colour scheme more classic than nude, white and sage green. The colours create a romantic, timeless look for a super luxe, elegant wedding. The elegant table styling was given a beautifully unique, modern twist, in the way of airplants within geometrics and the floating gold candles in tall glasses, by the wonderfully creative Fleur de Lace. This stunning styling was complimented by the gorgeous floral arrangements by The Flower Mill, filled with crisp white and pale blush roses and soft foliage.
Offley Place in Hertfordshire was the perfect venue for this shoot. Full of light, the opulent Hester Ballroom with its ornate chandeliers suited the exquisite photoshoot beautifully, the room filling with soft light even in the rain on the day the shoot took place on. The Ballroom is majestic in its neutral colour palette, combined with its magnificent chandeliers and classic decor, it provides the perfect backdrop for this colour scheme.
We used two incredible bespoke dresses for the shoot from The Wedding Workshop. Both dresses were beautiful in two completely different ways, the first an A-line with intricate beading falling into a beautiful soft tulle skirt, and the second a magnificent strapless satin gown, elegant in its simplicity, finished with a delicate belt from Rachel Sokhal Bridal Accessories. The dresses were perfectly complemented by the hair by Kim Sandford and Makeup by Joely Richardson, and the hair adorned by beautiful accessories also by Rachel Sokhal.
Nude and sage green are a beautifully luxurious combination, and incredibly elegant when done right. There are so many different ways in which you can bring this colour scheme in to your wedding, for example in this shoot with the stationery by Olive and Millicent bringing the sage green in for a pop of colour against the nudes.
We also brought the green in with the graceful bridesmaids dresses from Th & Th, to create a truly cohesive look across the whole shoot. A beautiful touch is to have hints of gold in amongst the nude and green to tie the two tones together. We did this in the gold rimmed glasses, the geos and the delicate headpieces and belt by Rachel Sokhal Bridal Accessories. Gold is often over-looked in favour of in silver, but I love it, and feel it brings an opulent warmth to weddings, tying the two colours together.
The personalised table plan hung on a copper frame with the sage green background by Samsa Mays was also adorned with the beautiful foliage and styling to reflect the table styling.
Kirsty from The Flower Mill said, “For the florals we wanted to keep a neutral palette with plenty of interesting and contrasting textures, I used pampas grass to compliment the air plants for decor and table scape. I chose to work with large headed statement four seasons roses as the focal point with complimentary foliages.”
One my favourite elements of a photoshoot is the cake, and as always Nina from Meadowsweet Cakes created an elegant masterpiece, a tier of sage green topped with a further three tiers of pale blush, adorned with sugar craft roses and gold leaves, and beautifully delicate pampas grass decorative icing. I also loved the cake stand, the swooping lines adding another touch of elegance.
