Win, dream and be inspired by the English Wedding Bible – it’s FREE!

Published by Claire Gould on

We launched the English Wedding Bible last week with TWO lovely prize draws for you gorgeous folks to enter, as well as a plethora (love that word!) of gorgeous style inspiration, advice and ideas to help you plan your best day ever. There’s still time to enter and win prizes, so I thought I’d take a little time out today to tell you more.

WIN… the secret to never losing your wedding rings!

Keep your wedding rings safe with Tile. This brilliant and gorgeous looking gadget could save your entire wedding. Anyone who’s had a wedding dream about losing the rings (it’s a common one! You’re not alone!) will understand just how much of a lifesaver this could be! Basically you pop the tile (which is just a bit bigger than a memory card) into the ring box, download an app, and you can find your rings with your phone forever. Phew! Pop it on your keyring after your wedding and you’ll never lose your keys either! To enter, just sign up to the English Wedding mailing list – everyone who joins us before July 31st will have a chance to win the Tile I have on my desk! WIN… priceless advice to help plan your wedding

Ross Willsher‘s book landed on my desk a few weeks ago, and I loved it so much I’ve asked Ross if we can share a couple of extracts on the blog over the summer. I’m happy – he said yes! But there’s SO much more in here – and it’s my top wedding book of the year by a mile. If you have any worries about your day, if you don’t feel you fit in to the ‘normal’ wedding bracket or you just want to feel free to do things differently, then this is for you. Wedding planning advice in the English Wedding Bible

Don’t miss our feature articles in issue 2 of our digital magazine – from the tongue-in-cheek “Why don’t men like weddings?” to our 10 best wedding DIY ideas for the summer, Supplier Myths BUSTED and Centrepiece dos and don’ts… I hope the tips will inspire you but if you need more, there’s a lovely recap of Jenna Hewitt‘s best advice – How to Plan your Wedding. You’ll find it on page 109. We also have our first wedding venue review – an in-depth look at Stoke Place by our friend and sponsor Damion Mower Photography

Be inspired by our beautiful features

Page 6 – The cover image of the English Wedding Bible features beautiful bride and gorgeous groom Jess & Mike. They were married in the early summer and their wedding just sings to me of the beauty and promise of this time of year. I adore everything about their day – the flowers, the location, the bridesmaid dresses, the sunshine… it’s perfect

Page 16 – We bring you styling ideas with a rustic and elegant flavour from beautiful Manor Barn – palm leaves and ferns, white blooms and a breathtaking contemporary lace gown and wonderful Wiltshire wedding suppliers

Page 28 – There’s more inspiration to be had for those of you seeking old English charm and more of a ‘country luxe’ style – our shoot from Norfolk’s Thurning Hall is captivatingly beautiful, with opulent florals and a decadent cake table in this gorgeous heritage venue

Page 40 – Alice and Sam’s ‘unweddingy’ wedding is a favourite of mine – and one I’d come back to if I was planning my own wedding. If a big white dress isn’t your thing, you have to see this. It’s beautiful, real and heartfelt as any wedding we’ve ever featured

Page 56 – Lovely Nikki from Knots & Kisses (whose stationery I’ve loved for a long time) has turned her hand to styling and it’s thanks to her we have a stunning Industrial Luxe editorial in the English Wedding Bible. The atmosphere of Fulford Manor is incredible… and the stationery and cake are bang on trend with subtle grey tones and inspired textures

Page 78 – More spring wedding inspiration comes from lovely Kathryn Hopkins, with a deliciously pretty cherry blossom shoot – fashion blogger Laura Bradshaw looks divine and I also love her ‘10 honest truths about wedding planning‘ blog post – go check it out!

Page 88 – Last but by no means least… we’ve been inundated by editorial shoots from That Amazing Place recently… a converted monastery nestled in the Essex countryside. This absolute stunner by Amanda Karen Photography is a favourite for spring, with the loveliest bouquet and dramatic bridal make up – it’s bright and fresh and just perfect.
