Elegance, glamour and the most romantic looking wedding… this is all just so wonderful, and I LOVE everything about gorgeous Lucy and Adam’s Elmore Court wedding – I only wish I’d been there to see the first dance! (Cracking song choice, guys!) Here’s an inspiring, emotional and stunning wedding to brighten your Wednesday, everyone… You’re welcome!
Our wedding venue is so beautiful it didn’t need much decoration, but we did use Lauradana from Wedding Creations to help style and she did an amazing job!
Our style evolved as I did more and more research and spent hours on pinterest. I wanted something uber romantic, but personal at the same time. I was insistent that we had lots of candles in mercury jars which created the perfect romantic ambiance. The venue was so beautiful that we wanted it to speak for itself so I went for quite a neutral colour scheme, lots of creams and blush with a little bit of sparkle on the bridesmaids dresses. I love champagne, so we had the tables named after different types of champagne and we supplied a lot during the day!
Wedding photographer’s website:
We were recommended Dale after contacting many many photographers and not quite finding what we were looking for. We wanted a relaxed and documentary style and that’s exactly what Dale offered. Not only that but he was personable and made us feel completely at ease.
I would say that choosing a photographer was one of the most thought through parts of our wedding planning, we really wanted someone that we got on with (as they do share your wedding day with you) and a style that we loved. Dale came with both of these in abundance. After our first skype conversation we just knew that Dale was the perfect wedding photographer for us.
We then met Dale face to face for our engagement shoot (which Adam was nervous about) and immediately Dale put us at ease and we had a lovely day exploring Bristol harbourside followed by a lovely chat over coffee. It made us very excited about having Dale shoot our wedding.
Were you pleased with your wedding photographer? Do tell… we love a brilliant review!
ABSOLUTELY! Pleased would be an understatement!
On the wedding day, I distinctly remember greeting Dale and I having a lovely relaxed chat whilst I was getting ready, it didn’t feel like we had a photographer with us in the morning whilst we were getting ready – much more a friend. Our guests commented on how lovely Dale was and that they didn’t even notice that he was taking photos (Adam & I echo these comments) Dale actually stayed much longer than we had expected and I hope that is because we made him feel welcome.
We received our final images much quicker than expected and I have to say we were absolutely speechless, the images were breathtaking and more than that Dale had captured our day perfectly. It felt like we were reliving the day all over again and I did have a little cry!
Without a doubt Dale is one of the most talented people I have ever met and not only that (I will say it again) he is absolutely lovely with it.
We are a little sad we wont necessarily see Dale again – but we will definitely keep in touch on social media and hope our paths cross again.
From the bottom of our hearts – Thank you Dale

It was a mixture between recommendations from other suppliers/ wedding fayres / google research
What’s your top tip for saving money?
Make sure that you set out a budget and allocate the budget to each individual item and keep track! This allowed us to know exactly how much we needed to save each month but also when we had to say no to certain extravagant extras!
… and which elements of your wedding are you glad you spent more on?
We had an acoustic duo during our drinks and canape reception which was amazing, it really created the perfect atmosphere and well worth the extra pennies! Also our cake, it was absolutely breathtaking, I didn’t want to cut it, it was so pretty! Oh & of course the champagne!
Where did you buy or source your wedding stationery – or was making it a labour of love?
My mum wanted us to make it all by hand, she has the most beautiful handwriting… it was a difficult job persuading her that it would be better spending the money on having them made but eventually she agreed. I used a shop called ‘peachy prints’ on Etsy – Chloe was amazing and made the most beautiful invitations for us as well as our table names.
Did you fall in love with your wedding dress?
I did. It made me so emotional when I looked at myself in the mirror, I really felt special – I also felt comfortable which is very important for your wedding day!
