Enchanted woodland wonderland (with a touch of boho glamour) – wedding inspo feature

Today’s woodland wedding shoot is wonderful!!! I LOVE the ribbon tipi and the bouquet – and the dreamy background and styling touches are just incredible! The venue is Oakwood Weddings, a brand new wedding venue nestled within ancient woodland near Ashford. The theme was enchanted woodland wonderland with a touch of bohemian glamour designed by Claire from Blue Daisies Florist who supplied all the beautiful flowers, and Becky from Your Beautiful Day.

As a photographer it’s always an amazing experience to have the opportunity to work with other supplies on a collaborative styled shoot, so when I was approached by Claire about the idea she had for the shoot I jumped at the chance to be involved!

Oakwood Weddings was the perfect setting, nestled in miles of woodland with a carpet full of beautiful bluebells. I was super excited to be shooting at a venue where no weddings have even taken place yet!

Claire and Becky had already been at the venue setting up when I arrived and the care and detail they had put into the decor was unbelievable. From cute hessian picnic blankets, wicker baskets and wooden crates to candelabras and the most amazing chandelier made by Claire that they had suspended from one of the trees.

The food all looked sublime, it was hard not to tuck into it while I waited for the models to have their hair and make up done!

Faith, the ‘bride’ wore a stunning boho-esque gown with a gorgeous floral crown made by Claire. Oliver, the ‘groom’ totally rocked the tweed waistcoat and bow tie. We did some shots with the picnic set up and then moved to another part of the woods where the girls had created a whole new scene for us to shoot in with the most incredible ribbon tipi and a cake fit for a woodland pixie queen.

It was such a magical place to shoot in and I’m so excited for when this fabulous venue finally opens. The whole team worked so hard to create the perfect whimsical atmosphere and I think the images speak for themselves. It was a brilliant day and I think I speak for all of those involved when I say how proud I am of what we created 🙂
