Hasn’t it felt as though spring is finally here this week? I’ve been walking in the hills before work each morning and enjoying the warmth of the sun on my face – it’s been bliss! And so I wanted to bring a little springtime to the blog for you today. This shoot is full of delicious florals and beautiful Charlotte Balbier gowns, in the loveliest natural setting… and showcases a whimsical bridal style which is just perfect for the warmer months.
Welcome to spring! Enjoy this fabulous shoot, and have the loveliest Saturday 🙂
Introduced by Hayley Baxter Photography
Sticking to seasonal flowers such as gorgeous tulips in a fresh crisp colour palette really brought the colours, textures and scent of spring to life. Utilising fresh flowers in the hair really co ordinates the look. Pamela Dunn created delicate texture using sheer voile fabrics – a perfect idea for softening any venue or backdrop.
Our springtime brides’ hair was kept soft and natural – beautiful curls and a rustic fishtail plait completed the look. Fresh floral crowns created a stunning focal piece.
Jess and Molly’s make up is all about feminine tones inspired by the colours found in the floral pieces used on the shoot. Soft peach, ivory and lavender shades were used on the eyes, complimented by a flush of blush pink on the cheeks. A hint of sheer rouge was applied to the lips while skin was kept dewy for a beautiful fresh and youthful glow.

Stunning, feminine Charlotte Balbier gowns with beautiful soft textures and lace compliment the look of the shoot. Everly mixes up luscious silks, sheer illusion lace, buttons and lace V-neck detailing. Lillie Mae is a deep ivory chiffon gown with 14 yards of chiffon in the skirt and a stunning lace bodice and small cap sleeve. Etienne is a flattering lace fishtail gown with the loveliest illusion neckline.
The shoot took place at the breathtaking Upper House which is described as one of Britain’s hidden treasures.
