Hello! For starters: I’m only cring­ing a lit­tle bit at the title. OK, so it’s not a dire warn­ing about the Royal Mail. Your wed­ding won’t be flash­mobbed by angry post­men; even postal strikes aren’t going to have that much impact on your day. A Mark of Distinction: wedding invitations

I have really strong feel­ings about today’s wed­ding blog post so I’m going to jump straight in and share them with you: wed­ding invi­ta­tion design­ers have the right to add their sig­na­ture or brand­ing to their designs. It’s a mark of qual­ity, proof an artist takes pride in their design work. Today I’m urg­ing wed­ding sta­tion­ers to add their name to their designs; I want to per­suade cou­ples who are buy­ing hand­made to choose designer invi­ta­tions with the maker’s name on.

The best 20 vintage wedding invites on the web!

It really makes me smile to see how cre­ative you can all be — from your blog com­ments, emails and when I see which Eng­lish Wed­ding fea­tures are most pop­u­lar… it’s clear you love cre­ative wed­ding inspi­ra­tion — so today I have a treat for you! (and me!)

As a wed­ding cal­lig­ra­pher I have a bit of a thing for paper and type — noth­ing pleases me more than a nice font on warm paper with a bit of a twist to it. And the trend for vin­tage wed­dings has inspired a gen­er­a­tion of wed­ding sta­tion­ers and brides to cre­ate some really beau­ti­ful vin­tage wed­ding invites.  Read more…

Dare to Dream: Alice in Wonderland Wedding Inspiration

Alice in Won­der­land is a fas­ci­nat­ing tale brim­ming with imag­i­na­tion and cre­ativ­ity. It starts off with Alice tum­bling into a very deep rab­bit hole but her descent is quite odd hav­ing time to see that the hole is lined with book shelves and glass jars.

At Paper Whis­pers, we love the unusual and cre­ative. One of the first Won­der­land inspired cre­ations we made was The Love Jar. It is a beau­ti­ful alter­na­tive (or addi­tion!) to the tra­di­tional guest book and would look stun­ning on the wed­ding table much like the jars Alice passed in her tum­ble.  Read more…
