Hi lovelies! How is your wedding planning going and are you hooked on Pinterest yet? I’ve spent today falling down random Pinterest holes… it’s not been a mega productive one so far! And the photoshoot I’m about to share with you hasn’t helped at all… there are so many stunning ideas here. We’re talking late summer wedding style – for that brief period of time when the summer begins to fade and wisps of autumn stir the air. A delicate, pastel colour palette still works this late in the season, but tinged with plum tones and darker pinks the look becomes something truly special to work with the earliest days of autumn.

Images are by our lovely friend and sponsor Amanda Karen Photography, with a fabulous team of creative London wedding suppliers at Clissold House in Hackney, London.

Belvoir Castle near Grantham is a beautiful Regency Castle in the heart of England with breathtaking landscaped grounds. With striking sculptures, paintings and objets d’art, the Castle is a perfect backdrop for unique, stylish weddings and is also a popular film location, used in the ‘Young Victoria’ and most recently ‘Victoria and Abdul’. It really is an incredible venue to host your wedding.

Our blog feature comes from a group of English wedding suppliers who love Belvoir Castle and its rich history. Inspired by their surroundings, they created a wedding look to appeal to modern, stylish couples looking for sophistication and elegance but with a fresh twist. The team chose a romantic soft colour palette with faded hues of apricots, blush, lilacs and soft grey tones. The colours were inspired by the warm stone of Belvoir, and by the subtle colours in the Castle’s elegant interiors.

The beautiful styling is by lovely Lauradana at Wedding Creations. With her instinct for delicate, relaxed styling she transports us to Italy effortlessly – we’re treated to glorious courtyard dining with perfectly on trend, elegant touches. Every careful detail is captured beautifully by Bowtie & Belle Photography. The flowers by Bride and Bloom are wonderful; fabrics by Kate Cullen soften the tablescape so prettily and give the styling an artisan edge. And the cakes by Vanilla Pod Bakery and the Cheltenham Cakery… I don’t think I’ve seen a dreamier illustrated cake than this in a decade of wedding blogging!
