Gorgeous couple Emily & Harry tied the knot at Sharpham House in Devon last May. Theirs was a wonderfully relaxed, country style wedding with plenty of wildflowers – and truly, the floral styling is breathtaking! Harry’s mum arranged all of the flowers with help from family and friends. Emily told me she worked tirelessly in the run up to the wedding and in particular the day before to make everything look so beautiful.

“We went to a wholesale flower seller in Cornwall to purchase all of the flowers and used wildflowers in her garden to help decorate the tables. We had plenty of green foliage to bulk out the flowers and also add colour. In my bouquet were pale pink peonies, blue delphiniums, white freshias and green foliage. The wildflowers on the tables included buttercups and bluebells. We also used plenty of cow parsley and eucalyptus to decorate the venue!

The venue itself is a beautiful old house, so we didn’t need a large amount of decoration. We added a few touches here and there to make it look more festive and like a wedding!

There’s something so magical about winter – and if you marry in the colder months of the year you’ll have plenty of opportunity to make your day unique. Today’s shoot uses some more unusual winter styling touches – I adore the twigs and white cotton balls – alongside traditional pine cones and plenty of sparkle! This gorgeous mini film by Baxter & Ted adds a unique flavour to winter wedding styling – I hope you love it!

Today’s blog is full of country charm for those of you planning a winter wedding. White orchids, obligatory pine cones, adorable little white cotton balls and handcrafted table centrepieces make today’s shoot magical. The bride and groom are real: they eloped last summer but had no photographs taken of the day. The intimacy of today’s blog captures their love as well as the romance of an intimate winter wedding – and I love it.

An uber charming photo and film shoot of an intimate winter English elopement with a real life couple who returned to this private garden estate venue bordering Dartmoor National Park on the banks of a Devon river where they were married in their own elopement last summer before having a big wedding reception nearby.
