Happy weekend, lovelies! Today we’re reminiscing a little as we head back to autumn for a wonderfully colourful wedding at Layer Marney Tower. The florals are bold, vibrant, and quite breathtaking. Emily and Philip are absolutely gorgeous together, and the story of their dreamy wedding is captured beautifully by lovely Ayshea Goldberg Photography.

How did you choose your photographer?

We met Ayshea, or at least her photos, at a wedding fair at Layer Marney Tower. We unfortunately missed her on the day but i picked up her brochure. They were the only pictures I kept coming back to.
After a couple of weeks I decided to message and speak to her in person.
The great points on paper for hiring Ayshea were that she knew the venue, was local and had some great reviews as well as proven pictures. However, after speaking to her, the passion she shows for her role on your day is beyond what you would expect. She loves to meet people and is a pleasure to be around. After that there wasn’t a choice on who we needed to capture our day

A venue bold enough to name itself amazing – in its actual name. A bouquet full of rich reds, statement blooms and delicate tendrils of fern… and the most stunning couple. Today’s wedding is simply wonderful; with elegant, richly colourful detailing and an atmosphere of pure romance. You will love it!

Gorgeous bride Dannii’s bouquet is from Vicki’s Floral Designs in Harlow. The combination of dahlias, protea, roses and ripening blackberries is just out of this world… and the ferns make this bouquet a dream!

Images are by lovely friends of the blog Amanda Karen Photography. Amanda and James love this place so much they’ve photographed their fine art wedding albums here, and written their own super helpful tips especially for couples marrying at That Amazing Place.

The interior of this venue is like being in a glamourous home. Lots of plush comfy seats, luxurious neutral décor and ample space for you and your guests to celebrate… the surrounding gardens and grounds are beautiful, perfect for a summer outdoor drinks reception.” ~ Amanda Karen Photography

Life is never dull at the English Wedding Blog HQ, and today is certainly one of the brightest… I have something very, very different to share with you this morning.

Earlier this month I shared a timeless bridal style shoot by Team Glam. They’re a group of eight bridal hair and make up specialists whose vision is to inspire brides to discover amazing, reputable suppliers – and they like to have fun in the process!

It’s an essential part of any wedding supplier’s work to explore styles which are that little bit different, to push boundaries and innovate. Today’s Team Glam feature is an exceptionally creative magazine-style bridal shoot simply bursting with colour.

The inspiration for this shoot came from the use of flower walls. We often work with flowers in our shoots but we wanted something that was very creative to give the wow factor. We wanted to go slightly Avant Garde with this shoot, but not so over the top that real brides couldn’t relate to our work. The colours and styles were chosen to compliment the flower wall and give a fresh summery feel. The main focus on makeup was the use of pinks for eyes, cheek and lips. The focus on the hair was ‘oversized’ larger than life styles.” Carla Brooks

All over the UK wedding market suppliers are collaborating and working together – and all with you in mind! It’s a fabulous sign of the times and a great boost for the wedding industry. For brides, it’s brilliant because it means you’ll have an easier time finding experienced, reputable and professional suppliers. Team Glam are eight freelance professionals, who met working within the wedding beauty industry. They came together to inspire and encourage each other’s creative flair and lead the way within bridal hair and makeup. You can find all their details at www.teamglam.com

Make up artist Carla Brooks got in touch with me to introduce Team Glam back in January. She explained that on average the eight members of Team Glam do between 500-600 weddings a year between them.

As well as focusing on real weddings, Team Glam have been creating inspirational shoots from classic bridal to crazy colorful styles. They’re hoping to produce half a dozen styled shoots per year and all of their shoots are accompanied by video so real brides can not only see how they work but also how the team works to transform them.
