Hey lovelies! I’d like to share two things which make me happy with you today! The first is simple: sunflowers. Gorgeous, yellow petals full of summer colour – and they’re fabulous in buttonholes and bouquets, don’t you think? (DIY brides – you can plant sunflower seeds from March onwards!) Oh, and the second thing which makes me happy? A story of an affordable and still beautiful wedding. Joe and Gemma hired a village hall, made their own ‘wedding punch’ and used it as lovely centrepieces, hung bunting from the beams and celebrated in style without breaking the bank. Gemma’s dress is breathtaking… Their wedding was submitted by lovely Paul from Stylish Wedding Photography who told me a little about the day.

Today’s real wedding is one of those timeless celebrations which I know I can blog now, and brides in 2025 will still be turning to it for inspiration. It’s sheer luxe and so beautiful – Rebecca is breathtaking, her husband Dominic looks fabulous, and the venue is out of this world! Wow.

The venue was magnificent and required minimal decoration. Our florist decorated both the day and evening rooms. The evening venue was the Queen Mary Undercroft at the Naval College which had pillars in it. Our florist put fairy lights and ivory up around the pillars and we had two large pedestal flower sprays which were at the entrance.

From the magnificence of Loseley Park‘s Great Hall, to the charming relaxed atmosphere of the 19th century Tithe Barn, today’s feature has everything I love about a modern English wedding. Beautiful bride Helen and her husband Gareth made the most of one of Surrey’s most breathtaking venues to style a celebration which was memorable, elegant, welcoming and fun for all of their friends and family.

The pretty flowers are a real treat, especially inside the barn – along with the fairy lights along the beams, the floral decorations are just fabulous. Despite a “pretty major” wedding dress disaster, Helen looks amazing in her dress, and I love all the creative touches she added to the day.
