Morning beautiful! Is it just me or is it chilly as anything today? I’m in jumpers – yep, plural!! But maybe it’s me? I hope summer comes back soon! … Enough of me though, as I have a FABULOUS wedding to share with you today. Welcome to the blog gorgeous pair Joe and Ruth, who celebrated at Kings Weston House in April. Their day is a wonderful combination of everything a wedding should be: elegance and grace, love and family, and pure, relaxed, happiness from beginning to end. The stunning images by Bristol wedding photographer Howell Jones Photography capture it all.

We discovered Howell Jones Photography on Google – then realised Warren had done a wedding for friends of friends.

We knew we wanted to best capture as much of the day as possible and Warren gave us that confidence. He’s provided a timeline of the entire day at the venue – our families were telling him how much of a shift he had put in and to get home! He recognised who our close family were and managed to provide lots of pictures of all of our guests too. He’s given us priceless memories from angles we could never have imagined to see from our wedding day.

Today’s wedding at King’s Weston House is absolutely gorgeous! The little touches Hollie and Jimmy used to decorate tables and entertain guests are just fabulous – and the bride and groom are a stunning couple – Hollie is so very beautiful. We planned our wedding in under a year. It’s achievable, you just have to be flexible with dates and stick to your decisions. We wanted to create a shabby chic, informal feel and chose a colour scheme of grey and dusky pink with sparkly accents. To help us stick to our budget we borrowed decorations from friends and shopped around charity shops for bargains.

Trust in your own personal style, and I promise your wedding will come together and look amazing on the day. Laura and Arash did – they chose accessories and decor they liked rather than concentrating on a particular theme for their Bristol wedding, and the result is wonderfully chic, elegant and understated.

This is bliss. A modern wedding with a focus on family and “having a really good party” – oh boy, didn’t they just! Suppliers were found online and through personal recommendations, and money was saved by skipping chair covers and favours on the day.

Laura is gorgeous; Arash is super handsome. Together they’re a knockout couple with the best modern style and the loveliest of outlooks on life! Laura told me they still talk about the wedding and have the best memories. “We just enjoyed having a big celebration with all of our friends and family.”
