As a huge fan of Ailsa Munro’s beautiful dresses I adore this shoot, sent in by lovely stylist Sarah Shuttle. The entire shoot from Pynes House is stunning – the flowers, the cake, the fabrics on the table and how they drape… I love it all. Wedding photographer Lottie Ettling captures everything beautifully. Warm out there, isn’t it?!! I’m loving how summery I’m feeling this week – and just before I take my little packed lunch to the beach (because I’m the luckiest wedding blogger and it’s like 2 minutes’ walk!) I have this stunning summer wedding to share with you. Beautiful bride Victoria got in touch with me a few weeks ago. She married Stephen last July and chose a quintessentially English theme for their wedding day.
Ahhh… I’m LOVING writing blog posts for you this week… because it’s summer on my screen and that makes me happy! Today’s feature is lush, sunny, and so captivating you can almost smell the lemon groves. A luxury Mediterranean inspired summer bridal photoshoot at the romantic Almonry Barn wedding venue in Somerset, organised by lovely Ellie Lou Photography. Our bride wears a beautiful silk wedding dress with lace detail by fabulous bespoke bridal dressmaker Ailsa Munro and a colourful citrus-infused colour palette of yellows, orange and pink tones and gold / gold leaf details.
Somerley Estate sits right on the Dorset and Hampshire borders and is the stunning backdrop for this inspiration shoot. A privately owned home and wedding venue, the house was designed in 1750 and has been in the Normanton family for five generations. Somerley is gorgeous, (very) grand and has a lot of history. With this shoot I wanted to bring a little piece of understated contemporary style to blend with the traditional luxury surroundings.
