Planning a wedding is exciting and can be utterly overwhelming at times. There’s a reason why wedding planners exist: bringing beautiful occasions to life takes endless hours of hard work and meticulous event management. I’ve always had a huge admiration for those wonderful humans who make planning weddings their career.

It’s not often we get to see a real ‘behind the scenes’ story of a wedding setup, so today is quite special! Our lovely friend and luxury wedding planner Michelle (Elegante by Michelle J) talks us through a beautiful, tropical wedding theme for one of her couples who were married last summer. The finished look is vibrant, joyful, stylish and bursting with summer vibes!

We’re thrilled to be sharing a stunning luxury wedding shoot with you today. The florals are exquisite, the styling impeccable with such wonderful attention to detail. Lovely Michelle from Elegante by Michelle J sent this Jewish wedding inspiration our way, and we were instantly smitten with the floral styling and summery, romantic vibe of the day. Hylands House is a gorgeous venue, a gem hidden away in Essex and one we’re delighted to be featuring here on English Wedding again.

Today we join luxury wedding planner Elegante by Michelle J for an exquisite styled shoot from beautiful Hampshire. Four Seasons Hampshire is a luxury hotel, set in the most stunning location with beautiful gardens and grounds. It is a gorgeous venue for couples who are looking for a luxury countryside UK wedding. The styling of our shoot today was beautifully curated by Michelle, working with a colour palette of jewel colours to fit with the hotel décor. Michelle collaborated with a fantastic team of talented and passionate Hampshire wedding suppliers, whose work we are in awe of today here at English Wedding! The stunning images are by Paulo Santos Photography.

Have you received an invitation to a Jewish wedding? If so, it’s likely you have questions and would like to know more about what to expect.

We invited a specialist Jewish wedding planner, and English Wedding Blog member, lovely Michelle Jacobs of Elegante by Michelle J to take us through the key elements of a typical Jewish wedding. All of the beautiful images we’ve included are by Italian Luxury wedding photographer David Bastianoni.

1. Day of Week

Jewish weddings most commonly take place on Sundays. Never on a Saturday and rarely on a Friday as the Jewish Sabbath (when weddings are not permitted) runs from sunset on Friday to sunset on Saturday.
