Happy Wednesday, lovelies! I thought today I’d share something a little different with you. I have a confession to make: I’m shy. I’m shy of putting my face out there on the internet, I’m not a wannabe celebrity – just a girl who loves the beauty and creativity of weddings. So I hide behind the blog and rarely show my face! But it’s been a while since I published a personal post on the blog, and about time I introduced myself to those of you who are new to English Wedding. Welcome, by the way!
I don’t really talk about me much, so I thought maybe I should come out from hiding behind my screen and tell you / show you who I am and a little bit more about me! Feel free to ignore if you’re looking for wedding dress inspo… but please read on if you’d like me to make your wedding invitations!
Hi! I’m Claire. I write the English Wedding Blog. This is me.
Hello lovelies! I hope you’re having a really good week. Spring is here at last, and with it the exciting news that the English Wedding Blog SHOP is now open!! We’ve been working really hard behind the scenes since – ooh – Christmas?! – to bring you our brand new shop, and it’s all up and running, ready for business!
The English Wedding Blog Shop brings together all of the things I love. It’s early days and I plan to add more lovely things for you to buy soon. You can shop for wedding invitations today – these are close to my heart as they’re designed by my beautiful illustrator friend Amy Swann and feature my calligraphy (I’ll even address envelopes for you if you’d like to hire me!).
To celebrate my birthday earlier this year we spent a week exploring the Cornish coast – fabulous sunsets, glorious beaches and dramatic scenery made it one of the most amazing holidays I’ve ever known. So today’s wedding inspiration has my heart (and a little of my calligraphy! Thank you Andrea!), and I hope you love it too!

One of my most favorite places is Cornwall. I found myself stunned by the beauty, the wild coast, the cold water and the wild wind, and also the rain! Cornwall is inspiring, and popular with so many famous novelists who lost their hearts to its natural beauty.
Hey there beautiful! I hope you’re having the loveliest week – and I may have just the thing to make your summer even MORE exciting! I’d love for you and a friend (or your mum! bring your mum!) to join me for my next modern calligraphy workshop in Manchester, and I’m offering you £20 off the ticket price if you book your places before the weekend is out.
