Hey beautiful! It’s festive season on English Wedding so while I relax in a pile of tinsel with a bottle of Baileys and a book, I’m sharing some favourite weddings from our 2018 archives. The next two weeks will be full of the most gorgeous, inspiring celebrations for you to swoon over, Pin to your heart’s content and generally get inspired by! We’re starting with lovely Keye and James, whose vineyard wedding at The Swan, Chapel Down was captured by Steven Rooney Photography and styled by the amazing Hire Love! Enjoy!

I guess if we could all describe our perfect wedding it would be something like this: fun, relaxed, gorgeously styled, games, drinks, full of personality, laughter, love, unique. Keye and James nailed all of those – and then some. They added circus and carnival, wow factor, fizz and flames. The opulent floral displays are breathtaking and the styling is oh-so-pretty and perfectly on trend. Their day is spectacularly styled with beautiful summer blooms, calligraphy signage, smoke bombs, brilliant outdoor games – and our gorgeous grooms look fantastic in matching outfits with waistcoats and bowties.

Sarah and Mark’s Chapel Down vineyard wedding in Kent is really special: simple and elegant with the backdrop of a charming and welcoming venue. I adore their style – and the images of their day are divine.

Sarah’s dress is perfect for her, and I loved reading her review of Isabella Grace Bridal Boutique, an award winning boutique in Kent. She told me, “I was blown away with Isabella Grace… The boutique’s founder and her fantastic team have captured the very essence of bridal, they are the epitome of bridal perfection.” Writing the English Wedding Blog is the best job in the world when it means I can read amazing feedback like this!

Sarah and Mark chose very wisely when it came to their wedding photographer as well – the awesome Benjamin Toms is a Kent wedding photographer who’s been a friend of mine and a blog sponsor for a while now. Sarah said, “We were absolutely thrilled with our wedding photographer – Ben has a natural gift at capturing moments, and he is a real gent, he was a delight to spend the day with!” – Check him out here:

Spend any amount of time on a US wedding blog and you’ll soon love the idea of a vineyard wedding. I see so many inspiration shoots and real weddings from vineyards – they’re always gorgeous, but just a wee bit unattainable for UK couples! Or so I thought… when I saw this beautiful wedding on Benjamin Toms‘ photography blog I had to share it with you. Fancy a vineyard wedding right here in the UK? Now you can. And here’s your photographer. Enjoy!

Ben said, “Chapel Down vineyard is a venue that I’ve wanted to work at for sometime and it did not disappoint. The guests had plenty of time to enjoy the beautiful grounds on what was just the most perfect summer’s day before sitting down to enjoy an amazing wedding breakfast followed by great speeches. The evening’s entertainment was put on by the most amazing band I’ve ever seen. Gemma and Rudi came across them on a visit to the famous Ronnie Scott’s in London and convinced them to play at their wedding.”
