It hardly feels like a full 18 months has passed since I discovered Clare Lloyd‘s exquisite handcrafted bridal jewellery. I’d planned a photoshoot in the Lake District, and seen her pieces online… but when they arrived with the postman I was more than blown away. To have the talent, the patience! to create such intricate jewellery must be a dream. To wear a single one of Clare’s stunningly crafted accessories on your wedding day will, I promise, make you feel amazing.

Unique wedding accessories and jewellery by Clare Lloyd in Somerset (34)

Clare Lloyd‘s collections are constantly evolving, taking on different natural hues and incorporating shapes and shades from nature. They’re always incredibly beautiful, and there’s always something new to see on Clare’s Instagram to take your breath away. These aren’t just bridal accessories to be worn on the day and forgotten: they’re future heirlooms, artisan pieces of handcrafted jewellery.

I love the wedding industry for its creativity. I love that as brides (and grooms) we can support independent businesses – guys like Clare who are keeping true crafts alive, working with couture techniques and with real skill to design unique pieces by hand, helping to create each bride’s wedding story.

It breaks my heart to be selling my little Vespa this spring… but at the same time it makes me smile to see this gorgeous shoot on the blog today with a vintage Vespa looking so beautiful and ready for adventures! If you’ve already flicked through the pages of our FREE digital magazine the English Wedding Bible you’ll recognise this…

The beautiful styling is by lovely Lauradana at Wedding Creations. With her instinct for delicate, relaxed styling she transports us to Italy effortlessly – we’re treated to glorious courtyard dining with perfectly on trend, elegant touches. Every careful detail is captured beautifully by Bowtie & Belle Photography. The flowers by Bride and Bloom are wonderful; fabrics by Kate Cullen soften the tablescape so prettily and give the styling an artisan edge. And the cakes by Vanilla Pod Bakery and the Cheltenham Cakery… I don’t think I’ve seen a dreamier illustrated cake than this in a decade of wedding blogging!

I think my bouquet would be one of my most exciting wedding purchases – and definitely one of the trickiest to decide on! I love all the flowers (oh! except gerberas and gypsophila!) – so I dream of a tumbling armful of peonies and dahlias, tulips and ferns, hellebores and sweet peas… in all the colours. I fall for a new favourite flower every season so it’s pretty certain I’d be a challenge for any florist… but I know what we’d do: simply find a florist whose own style we adore, and trust them implicitly to create something spectacular! However… as this week is all about our favourite wedding ideas, here’s a beautiful curation of all of our favourite bouquets from the English Wedding Blog! I hope it helps you pin down your flower style!

The English garden wedding theme is one – quite possibly the only one – which will always be on trend. We love the romance of our home-grown flowers, the greenery and scents of hazy summer days – and it’s a style which conjures up memories from childhood, days in the countryside and magical holidays close to home.

Greenery is a huge thing for 2017 – and we love it to bits. This shoot is full of gorgeous foliage and fabulous styling with softer accent colours and statement blooms. Stylist Lauradana from Wedding Creations combines those gorgeous greens with white and soft pinks to create a feminine wedding style I know you’ll love.

Happy Friday lovelies! It’s been an amazing week here at English Wedding Blog HQ… we’ve booked our second Manchester calligraphy workshop and had some amazing weddings and styled shoots in our inbox (but there’s always room for more – hint!!!). Here’s something I’ve been soooo excited to share with you for weeks now… a wedding ideas feature with copper and pastel tones, beautiful photography and the most ridiculously gorgeous flowers you can imagine…

Incredible florals by Garden and Wild for a Rectory Hotel shoot by Bowtie and Belle (7)

Today’s feature comes from the wonderful Bowtie & Belle Photography, aka Thomas and Samantha who are Cotswolds-based fine art photographers. Samantha told me, “For a long time we’ve had one theme in our heads, an idea to create beautiful imagery inspired by one of our favourite parts of the wedding day – the drinks reception.
