Weddings are wonderful to photograph. It’s partly the people. Everyone you love in one place. Capturing that fleeting glance from your mum as she looks at you, her little girl, walking down the aisle. Photographing the hysterical laughter of your friends as they dish the dirt on the escapades of your youth. The smiles, the fun and the laughter as well as one or two tears of joy.

It’s partly the place. A beautiful venue, decorated with fresh flowers, a delicious cake and gorgeous details. All the personal touches you have spent months planning. Things that really reflect the two of you, your style and what’s important to you. A gorgeous garden to relax in, a place to enjoy the soft and golden evening light as you wander hand in hand with the person you have chosen to spend your life with.

It’s a big bit of you. The bride and groom. You make the day! The nervous anticipation during the morning preparations, the smiles and laughs with your best friends as you get ready. Your relaxed and happy approach to a wonderful day that means the world to you. So what if it doesn’t go exactly as planned? You are marrying your best friend and that’s the most important bit. This is the feeling I love to photograph. Little giggles between the two of you, as you finally get a moment together to take it all in. The biggest smiles as you realise you have done it! After all the months of planning you are finally husband and wife.

This is what I love to capture. The story of your wedding day, photographed in a creative, natural, beautiful and relaxed way. Photographs you will treasure. Photos that will bring back all those memories of that day, the silly bits, the emotional bits and the unique bits that make it your day.
