Hello lovelies and happy Friday! I’m currently in Manchester prepping for (lunch) my calligraphy workshop tomorrow – it’s a sell out and I’m so excited! – but couldn’t leave English Wedding without a gorgeous feature for your Friday… and oh my, this wedding is special! Kate is more stunning than I have words for, in a beautiful Suzanne Neville gown. She tried on over 100 wedding dresses… and I’m so glad she found this divine design from Suzanne’s collection because it is breathtaking.

There’s a blog post on the Kelsey Rose blog right now which I absolutely loved reading – about creating “timeless magic at affordable prices” – and I absolutely love them for that. In the wake of a royal wedding and with a trend for luxe, opulent floristry and wedding styling on the rise, I do love to see a more affordable, but still beautiful, bridal collection. Kelsey Rose’s Ivory Collection for 2019 ticks all the boxes – the dresses are stunning and with a timeless appeal. We introduced their bridesmaids collection on English Wedding a few weeks ago – now it’s time for their beautiful bridal gowns to make an entrance!

But wedding marquees come in all shapes and sizes, and the logistics of booking a marquee are more than a little complicated! Here are some common wedding marquee fails – and tips to help you avoid them!

What could be a more romantic setting than the Italian countryside, a monastery no less, set amongst rolling hillsides and with its very own vineyard? The Favari Monastery dates from the 17th century and has been beautifully renovated as a destination wedding venue. For today’s English Wedding feature, the monastery serves as a beautiful backdrop for a group of local wedding suppliers who came together to create a lush, modern wedding style complete with al fresco table settings and a bride and groom just radiant with Italian style!

This gorgeous pair celebrated with a relaxed vineyard wedding reception where guests could relax in an outdoor sitting room – a space filled with comfy sofas, chairs and hay bales. As with every wedding our friends from York Place Studios share with us, this is a day full of character where the atmosphere just zings through my screen and makes me smile, chuckle and grin my head off.
