Hello again and it’s lovely to be with you today, particularly as I’m talking about treats and surprises for your wedding day. When you’ve spent months planning every detail of your big day, it’s absolutely wonderful to give a little unexpected gift to your partner on the morning of your wedding. There’s something very special about receiving a meaningful and heartfelt present just before you take your vows and from my perspective as a photographer, I love capturing the moment when these gifts are opened. So, if you’re wondering what gifts to give, here are a few ideas for you (and for your partner!).
Hey lovely! Have you decided how much of your wedding will be DIY? Making your own decor and stationery can save you pennies – and if you know where to look, designing your own invites, table plans and signage can be simple, and as elegant as a professional designer collection! So I’m thrilled I can introduce you properly to Wowvow on English Wedding today. Their website is a treasure trove of quality creative bits and bobs especially for brides and grooms, and they’re based in the UK! See below for my fave picks, and check out www.wowvow.co.uk to buy!
Are you a country girl at heart? Did you grow up in a village, learn about the different leaves at school and grow up loving the English countryside? Then today’s feature is just for you, my lovely!
I spent my own childhood in a small village in the Lake District. Those days were all about playing out in the sunshine, and as I grew up I would explore the country lanes and fall in love with nature. My mum had “The Country Diary of an Edwardian Lady” on her bookshelf; now I own a copy of my own. The illustrations capture our native flora and fauna so perfectly; Edith’s words take me back to a place in time…
I know I’m not alone in my aversion to polyester chair covers at weddings… many a time I’ve asked why venues can’t just invest in nice chairs – isn’t it that simple? So I’m thrilled to be able to introduce Partybench today – especially for marquee weddings, tipi celebrations and festival style weddings – oh, and this is just the perfect seating solution for your barn wedding too!

On such a beautiful day I simply had to share this stunning shoot found in my inbox – it’s by a super talented bunch of Cirencester wedding suppliers, whose artisan, sustainable approach has my heart. The stunning images are everything – every shot is just perfect. They’re by Rachel Jane Photography, and the words (and dreamy florals) are by lovely Fi from Corky and Prince.
