Our pages are so often filled with soft, feminine styling ideas and fabulous floral-filled stately home weddings. My heart is equally drawn to urban celebrations with a quirky or chic aesthetic, and today’s shoot from lovely Amanda Karen Photography combines the best of both worlds with a fabulous floral curtain and sleek, copper styling touches.
The Refinery by Drake and Morgan is such a brilliant venue: in Regent’s Place, central London, and with a cool and urban interior, it works perfectly for this industrial luxe wedding style, brought together by Carmela weddings.
Today’s wedding is pure class with sprinkles of elegance from beautiful Pennard House in Somerset. Our gorgeous bride Kate wears a divine Charlie Brear dress; husband Paul’s tailored suit is individual, classy and so stylish. I love how Kate sings her mum’s praises for the little crafty touches which made their wedding so lovely for a blog feature.
Kate’s words of wisdom are a slightly different spin to the usual ‘don’t stress over details’. Her advice for you is to stick to a deadline: “If it’s not done by 2 days before, give up and pour yourself a Gin and Tonic. You can sweat the small stuff that no-one will even notice – don’t bother. Just relax, have fun, and if it goes wrong, it doesn’t matter.”
Hello, beautiful. I have something so special to share with you today – wedding gowns with a unique and intricate style you won’t have seen anywhere else. The story behind them is wonderful: designer Reuma Zohar‘s business started with a gallery of antique and vintage wedding dresses – over the years inspiring her very own collections. They’re the most enchanting combination of luxe, antique styling with relaxed silhouettes and exquisite fabrics – their look is as beautifully boho as it is regal and vintage.
New event added!! For those of you who missed the event in July, the Bodleian Library is hosting a new event – Bodleian In Bloom – on the 24th of February 2018. Please visit https://www.bodleian.ox.ac.uk/whatson/venue-hire/weddings-and-civil-partnerships for more information.
Few wedding venues are as impressive as English Wedding Directory member The Bodleian Libraries. One of the oldest libraries in Europe, in the romantic and historic city of Oxford – it’s a bookworm’s dream wedding venue. I would LOVE to be married here – and if you haven’t booked your wedding venue I have a great opportunity to share with you today!
