Isn’t it cold, and so beautiful today! I hope you’re having a nice day – just a quick little note from me to say congratulations to Louise, who won the Betsy Button competition I ran in November.

Louise was selected at random to win the lovely bracelet and heart ornament from Betsy Button. I shall miss the heart, which has been to my beach and now hangs on my little Christmas tree – but I know Louise will love it – it’s gorgeous 🙂

I saw this and thought of you…

Illustrator Rich Fairhead got in touch and asked me to show you these personalised wedding prints, which I think are a brilliant idea! Inspired by the royal wedding, Rich – a freelance illustrator in London – created a personalised print of a commemorative plate for Kate & Will’s wedding.

…and then, Rich began to illustrate personalised wedding prints to commemorate more wedding days – and he’s offering to draw you and your groom! One lucky English Wedding blog reader can win their very own print in celebration of their big day.

They make great wedding presents and quirky keepsakes – usually retailing at£64.99, one lucky blog reader (it could be you!) gets their own print, free.

How to enter for a chance to win your print

To enter the competition we need you to answer a very tricky question. Think carefully, then pop your answer in the comments box below. You must enter your email address, and all entrants’ emails will be passed on to Rich in case he has any more special offers up his sleeve.

Just one click will have you smiling and feeling great – it did for me! When I first found the Alter Ego Portraits website I loved it instantly. If I wasn’t glued into Manchester I’d be there now, pouting and giggling for a fantastic photoshoot. The lovely Erica can show and tell you more about Alter Ego Vintage Photoshoots than I can, so here she is for an inspiring guest post!

Whoosh. One minute it was Christmas and now, here we are, deep in the heart of wedding season – all in the blink of an eye. Everyone we know who isn’t planning their own big do is picking outfits, debating headwear (de rigueur since Kate & Wills’ do) and snaffling up nude court shoes for their next outing.

However, while the congregation tends to approach wedding-dressing in a fairly conservative manner, the brides we meet tend to all want something truly individual. This is why we love English Wedding, Claire always manages to find something to inspire us – and we were honoured when she invited us to write a guest blog. We’re very lucky to have met many brides here at Alter Ego Studios – all of whom are gorgeous, creative and inspirational themselves.

I love this bit… on the 18th of May I featured the gorgeous Pretty POSH party bag and offered one as a blog competition prize.

I asked you who won a golden ticket. No one thought it was Barney the big purple dinosaur, and of those of you who answered Charlie out of Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory I’ve selected a winner at random.

Drum roll please!….

and the winner is……

Laura Parker. Well done Laura! I’ll send your email address to Lianne so she can get in touch about sending your POSH party bag for you.

Thanks everyone else who entered the competition, and please have a peek at the new English Wedding competition, this time to win his ‘n hers wedding notebooks!
