Hey lovelies! For those of you who love making, who adore bright colours and who have drawers full of ribbons and fun papers and crafty bits at home (or wish you had!)… I have something wonderful to share. Today’s fabulously creative shoot is brought to you by Starry Eyed Weddings and Three Flowers Photography along with a team of talented wedding creatives from the East of England. I hope you love it as much as I do!

One thing we hear regularly in the media is how expensive weddings are, and how much of a ‘rip off’ they are – well we beg to differ! Of course there are costs involved-after all its the biggest party you’ll ever throw. Probably. But we know lots of great venues, amazing suppliers and decor tricks that will not only keep you within budget but will give you the day you’ll never forget.

When Angela got in touch with me to share this shoot, I loved two things most of all: the simple touches of greenery which make this look absolutely breathtaking, and her approach to creating a look which real brides and grooms can recreate in their own way, without having to spend a fortune. Perfect!

The Railway Barn in Chelmsford, Essex is on a working vineyard in an industrial setting, bare brickwork and the vines created a beautiful backdrop. We brought in natural elements such as the wooden tables and chairs and coloured glass and crockery to enhance the look and touches of cooper in the cutlery added a touch of luxury.

The florist, Clare at Luke & Lottie created a stunning cooper frame for a backdrop and used lots of different sized hoops that we used hanging from the beams and an extra special hoop for a beautiful bouquet.

Hannah and Terence had decided throughout their planning that they wanted a very relaxed day – they weren’t fussed about formality or traditions, they simply wanted a day of celebration. They managed to do this so well, the whole day felt very natural with real joy. It was a beautiful day, but so cold and Hannah and Terence were real troopers going outside throughout the day so I could do my thing. I loved that Hannah wanted to keep Terence’s jacket on for their portraits – it made it feel completely real.

Layer Marney Tower wedding with a gorgeous short haired bride, images by Ayshea Goldberg Photography (14)

“The reception area of Layer Marney Tower is already beautiful so didn’t need much adding to it. We had some candles and foliage on the mantelpiece above the massive log fire, and foliage and fairy lights on the stairs and banisters… and that was it really! I wanted a lot of candles so we also had tealights on the tables, along with collections of our favourite books (which some of our guests borrowed to enjoy themselves!) and milk bottles with a few flowers in. We tied the place names to small pots of jam and chutney from Wilkin & Sons in Tiptree (where I grew up) as we thought these would be nice for people to take away with them.

Today, something more than a little different. I do like to challenge perceptions of bridal style, and I know for me at least I’m always looking for the unique, the styles and settings which are different, thought-provoking and of course insanely beautiful. Asylum Chapel, anyone?!

Inspired by the atmospheric beauty of the Asylum Chapel in South London, this editorial shoot is beautifully captured by the very talented Sarah and Lyndon of Fine and Dandy photography.

The cake is a fabulous highlight for me: I adore the bright icing and the wonderful gold leaf tier and detailing – simple, bright and beautiful! It’s by The Wild Blackberry: www.twbweddingcakes.co.uk

“I exhibited at a wedding fair this year where I met Suzanne from Vintage Trousseau. I was instantly drawn to her beautiful dresses which are inspired by vintage clothing. We exchanged contact details and decided to collaborate on a styled shoot. We gathered a group of amazing suppliers and all we needed now was a location!
