Hi everyone! I hope you’re having a fab day. I’ve just discovered this tipi event and I really wish I could go! It sounds amazing, doesn’t it? Plus it’s at the gorgeous Bawdon Lodge Farm which featured on the English Wedding Blog in a country wedding styling article last summer.

sami tipi open weekend

Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th April 11am to 4pm

Are you searching for a unique personalised wedding venue? Perhaps you’re planning a festival style wedding. Then make sure you visit the Sami Tipi Open Weekend at Bawdon Lodge Farm on Saturday 19th April and Sunday 20th April.

Tipis provide an atmospheric event space like no other event venue. Inspired by the Sami People of Lapland, tipis make for a fabulous outdoor celebration and provide a breathtaking alternative to a conventional marquee.

Sami Tipi packages are personalised to suit your exact requirements and their friendly, professional staff are there to help you along the way.

I’ve always been an advocate of finding wedding suppliers you ‘click’ with. Choose a photographer who understands you both; find a venue you’re comfortable in, and hire a stationer bursting with enthusiasm for your wedding style and theme. Now, wedding suppliers come in all shapes and sizes, and today I’ve found you one with wheels and wipers. She’s adorable – full of character and class, a lifetime of adventures behind her, and if you meet her I have a feeling you’ll fall head over heels in love with her! Say hello to Dolly the vintage wedding campervan!

Dolly is the star of today’s bohemian wedding photoshoot, based around a vintage picnic with gorgeous images to inspire your big day. On a bright and sunny September morning, a team of suppliers packed their bags ready for a photoshoot with Darby & Joan.

Morning lovely people! Wherever you are in the country this morning, please stay safe and warm. I’m thinking of all of you who in the south – we’ve escaped the gales up here in the Lakes but I know from my friends around London and Exeter it’s pretty scary down there. Anyway – I couldn’t resist sharing a few sneak peeks of Carina and Henry’s Derbyshire wedding a little while ago, and I’m over the moon to be able to begin this week on a high with such an amazing celebration. You’re going to adore this!

The images are by my lovely new sponsor Rik Pennington Photography (more about him later!) and they are just wonderful. I really think they capture the atmosphere of today’s wedding and I’d love to hear from you today too – leave a comment for the gorgeous bride and groom, or for Rik or just say hi! The comments box at the end of the post is there especially for you and I love hearing from my wonderful readers.

Hello again! What’s your wedding style? UK couples inspired by wedding blogs are styling their celebrations along three key themes this year: vintage (of course!), country garden and afternoon tea. Why are these themes so popular? Because they’re creative and give you so much room to play, and design and add your own style to your wedding day.

My lovely friend and sponsor Alix from Lumiere Photography, and Val from Benessamy Events have created three styled shoots to inspire you with ideas for each of these popular wedding themes. First of all – country elegance wedding style ideas. Val can tell you more. Enjoy! Claire x

Country elegance wedding style ideas

The idea behind this shoot was to bring both glamour and elegance to the country. The pretty blossom tree provides a beautiful focal point, dressed with pearls and crystals and sprinkled with love notes. The guest tables are dressed with soft lace and the bride’s bouquet is full of gorgeous white peonies.
