Hey lovely! How was your weekend? We’ve been loving the sunshine and laying a new floor while it rained… I guess we’re part of the army of DIYers since lockdown! Anyway – I wanted to begin Monday with a joyful, floral filled, summer wedding. Ruth and Richard’s day is just glorious, and Ruth is so incredibly beautiful. Theirs is a military wedding, classic and elegantly styled with greens, creams and a dash of pale blue (and don’t the bridesmaids look amazing?) Images are by Nisha Haq Photography – I’ll leave you with Ruth and Richard to tell you about their day!
We’re brining you serious wedding escapism this morning – away from the surreal and scary world out there. My advice for all of you is to focus on the truly important: not your wedding, not your marriage even, but your love. No matter what, your love will get you through this. And for advice, reassurance, and all the practicalities of wedding planning with coronavirus a very real threat on the horizon, read Annabel’s superb advice features on Love My Dress. The New Forest is a wondrous place with sprawling heathlands, magical ancient woodlands and picturesque English villages that make it a special setting. Getting married in such an idyllic location where there are endless opportunities for a gorgeous photograph of the bride and groom is a no-brainer. It’s no wonder the New Forest takes centre stage in this stunning elopement shoot by the fabulous Nisha Haq Photography.

The small towns and villages have a quintessentially English feel with quaint tea rooms and walkways with beautiful New Forest ponies grazing close by. Who wouldn’t want a wedding with ponies in the background of your bridal shots?
