I have such a treat for you today, lovely! We’re filling the blog with beautiful yellow blooms and fabulous city wedding styling ideas from lovely By Chenai and Amanda Karen Photography. The dresses by Monique Lhuillier and Viktor & Rolf (from Browns Bride) are breathtaking – and the fabric backdrops just divine. I hope you love this as much as I do: I will leave you with lovely Chenai who explains her ideas so beautifully.

I teamed up with Prince Phillip House (3 Carlton House) in London’s St James area to style a mini shoot that would tell the story of a city summer wedding in London.

Working with Amanda Karen Photography and Browns Bride of London (who gave us a Fall 2019 Monique Lhuillier structured ‘Everest’ gown and Viktor & Rolf Fall 2019 gown) we wanted to tell 2 stories against the quite traditional background of the building.

So this is new… and kind of amazing to read! Gorgeous bride Sophie told me Cold Harbour Barn was so much more than a wedding venue: “The barn has so much character and charm that a lot of wedding venues simply don’t have – it has real soul.” It totally shines through in the images from their beautiful wedding day too!

Today’s wedding is lovely, with a ‘barely there’ colour palette, gorgeous peonies and lots and lots and lots of fabulous DIY details.

Gorgeous bride Sophie has shared some great advice in her interview at the end of the feature, but do take a little time to scroll through all of the beautiful images before you read it – they’re really special.

The photography is by lovely Louise Adby, who shoots weddings all around the UK and even further afield! Do find out more about her – as Sophie and Charlie will tell you, they were “absolutely delighted!” with Louise 🙂

Morning lovely people! Wherever you are in the country this morning, please stay safe and warm. I’m thinking of all of you who in the south – we’ve escaped the gales up here in the Lakes but I know from my friends around London and Exeter it’s pretty scary down there. Anyway – I couldn’t resist sharing a few sneak peeks of Carina and Henry’s Derbyshire wedding a little while ago, and I’m over the moon to be able to begin this week on a high with such an amazing celebration. You’re going to adore this!

The images are by my lovely new sponsor Rik Pennington Photography (more about him later!) and they are just wonderful. I really think they capture the atmosphere of today’s wedding and I’d love to hear from you today too – leave a comment for the gorgeous bride and groom, or for Rik or just say hi! The comments box at the end of the post is there especially for you and I love hearing from my wonderful readers.
