Pastels are our favourite wedding palette – they have been for years and I doubt that will ever change. But it’s easy to forget there’s a gentle rainbow of pastel colours encompassing everything from palest dusky pinks through to barely-there olive greens, dove greys and soft corals… because pastel doesn’t only mean pink.

Discovering new talent is 100% why I’m even here – and sharing it with you lovely people is one of my favourite things. The Chosen Wedding Fairs have brought so many exciting suppliers to the pages of the English Wedding Blog, and one of the loveliest is Anna from Indigo Yard Floral Design. Her flowers have that intuitively natural beauty which I love so much: I could gaze at her arrangements for hours. We wanted to show you three distinct seasonal looks to inspire your spring, July and late summer weddings today, and I hope you love them as much as I do!

I’m a bit of an Instagram junkie, I admit. I also have weekends where I binge on Pinterest – once I start, I just can’t stop. If I was planning my own wedding I’d end up in some sort of ‘Pursue Pretty’ rehab. Is it just me?

I have been reading some of the interviews you’ve been sending in for wedding features – I’m so lucky to have such amazing girls and guys getting involved in the blog, and soooo many amazing weddings to share! – and I love how everyone finds their suppliers in different ways.

Two of the loveliest secrets to styling a romantic, feminine and timeless wedding are fabrics and foliage. Opt for luxe napkins and calligraphy place names instead of favours; and choose ferns, leaves and opulent foliage to create texture and include nature in your day. I’m so in love with this shoot by One Stylish Day – I hope you adore it too!

Blush & Grey is pure and natural with a lightness of touch and sensual undertones, with the innocence heightened by using British florals, creeping foliage and ripe fruit.  Create the look by using antique silver cutlery and sparkling cut glass on tables, teamed with contemporary organic crockery for an indulgent feel.  Use flowers and foliage in abundance, letting them take over tables and trail to the floor.

In the English Wedding Book I mentioned greenery and foliage as one of 2016’s major wedding trends – and the shoots I’m seeing on all the big international wedding blogs are saying the same thing… so I was thrilled when lovely Daniela from Ferri Photography submitted her images from a fabulously beautiful, artistic wedding styled shoot where the luscious leaves took centre stage!

The theme for the shoot is set around the story of a local, Italian, village girl who falls in love with an English boy. After what seems like a lifetime away from each other, today is finally the day they will get married.
