I hope you’ve had the loveliest of days, everyone. I’ve had a relaxing Sunday with family and it’s time to look forward to a fabulous week of wedding blog dreaminess ahead! We’ve had the most wonderful start to the year, and many old friends have got back in touch – including lovely Joseph Hall, a Bristol wedding photographer whose style I’ve admired for years – ever since the early days of the English Wedding Blog. I’m over the moon to say Joseph is rejoining as a sponsor so we’ll be sharing some of his favourite weddings with you over the next few months. Let me introduce you…
Another treat… a little holiday for our eyes, and some much-needed sunshine. This afternoon’s real wedding sneak peek comes from the blog of my lovely sponsor and super Bristol wedding photographer Joseph Hall.
Joseph photographed this enchanting wedding at a castle in the Dordogne – and I have fallen in love with every detail. This is beautiful.
Eve and Andrew are amazing, the location is incredible, the photography is out of this world. You definitely need to go see more on Joseph’s wedding photography blog…
Happy afternoon, you loveliest of wedding blog readers! Once again, I am about to happily delight your eyes with the most wonderful wedding images. Laura and Olly had the most magical wedding at The Old Rectory, a family owned Devon wedding venue which has to be seen – because you’ll fall in love with it I promise!
This wedding has a real countryside atsmosphere to it: the rustic setting of the ceremony room is the most charming thing I’ve ever seen… the details fit perfectly and the images of guests laughing, drinking and dancing in the rural surroundings are simply out of this world.
I had an interesting email in my inbox this morning… now obviously most of you are engaged so I’m late with this… but tell me: did you propose to your guy? Or if he hadn’t, would you have popped the question?
Because our survey says… [family fortunes voice, Les Dennis era]… most of us think women should propose. (and reading between the lines, only 30 – 35% of us think men should!??)
Which is a little odd, I think. But hey! Odd is my favourite kind of survey! Tell me more!…
Morning! Today is a happy day for me… I get to feature the gorgeous real wedding which has graced the top bit of my blog for – ooooh, about 6 months already. Those flowers? They’re here. Which means I have a fabulously colourful, insanely beautiful, English farm wedding to share with you today. Yay!!
Jacqueline and Andrew are not only super gorgeous and stylish, they’ve also shared some brilliant budget tips too – so make sure you don’t miss their wedding story at the end of the photos. This is my favourite: “Have a 10%-20% contingency fund for the times where you fall in love with something which is just outside your original budget but will make the day that extra bit special for you both.”
