What a beautiful wedding Lydia and Andrew’s was… I found myself smiling back at the gorgeous bride and groom on my screen – Lydia just looks amazing in her Naomi Neoh dress. The cake is lush; the portraits of the bride and groom are wonderful and the flowers are out of this world.

Ami, lovely photographer at Rubie Love Photography, told me, “This wedding for me had everything I love about weddings! It was at their home which is something I just love, so personal and special.

Wadhurst has the most picturesque village church for the ceremony and such beautiful light inside. Lydia made such an incredible bride – I mean, that smile!! – just wow – and that dress: the only way to describe it was the movement was like a dressage horse 🙂 The Marquee provided by Sussex Marquees was gorgeous! The incredible flowers especially the peonies which are my favourite. Most importantly Lydia and Andrew are just adorable together – I am so, so lucky to work with couples like this! So yes everything about this wedding made it perfect.

Claire and Paul are the loveliest couple – I think every wedding photo shows at least one of them with an amazing happy smile – and theirs is the sort of wedding I just love to bits.

They describe their Surrey wedding as ‘less fuss, more fun’ and their motto clearly worked like a charm! They celebrated in style at Painshill Park and hired lovely Sophie Duckworth as their wedding photographer.

Suppliers were found through recommendations – photographer Sophie gave some great tips for top suppliers, and Painshill Park came up with ideas as well. Everything looks fantastic and it’s wonderful to read such a great review for Sophie and see Paul and Claire’s recommendations for some other local wedding suppliers. Every wedding is different: the details make a day different and so do the memories… and every bride and groom have something amazing to offer a wedding blogger like me. Today’s stunning bride Kirsty surprised me with this: “At the end of the night when everybody had left we sat on the head table with a bottle of bubbles for an hour just chatting about the day. We could still feel the buzz from the room from the day which was really quite incredible, it was a really special moment for us.

How many of you can imagine doing this after your big day? What a wonderful memory… and for this beautiful bride and gorgeous groom it’s one of so many special moments to treasure.

There’s a wonderful story behind every wedding, and you really mustn’t miss today’s! Samantha and Jamie are not only gorgeous – like, ridiculously stunning, the pair of them! – but they have shared some lovely pearls of wisdom in their English Wedding Blog interview. What a super couple… you’ll love them!

For example, Samantha did an hour of yoga on the morning of her wedding. What a wonderful way to relax! Every guest had a personal, handwritten message on the day, and there were no expensive wedding favours. The advice from today’s bride is priceless: “Spend on the memorable and impactful elements and cut back on those that seem important during the planning stages but on the day are quickly forgotten.

Images are by documentary wedding photographer Steve Fuller, who is based in Kent. Steve told me Eridge Park was a wonderful wedding venue with breathtaking views of the Kent countryside – it’s a private home with space for a garden marquee which meant Samantha and Jamie had the perfect blank canvas to style their day as well as incredible grounds and landscapes to enjoy!

Sarah and Mark’s Chapel Down vineyard wedding in Kent is really special: simple and elegant with the backdrop of a charming and welcoming venue. I adore their style – and the images of their day are divine.

Sarah’s dress is perfect for her, and I loved reading her review of Isabella Grace Bridal Boutique, an award winning boutique in Kent. She told me, “I was blown away with Isabella Grace… The boutique’s founder and her fantastic team have captured the very essence of bridal, they are the epitome of bridal perfection.” Writing the English Wedding Blog is the best job in the world when it means I can read amazing feedback like this!

Sarah and Mark chose very wisely when it came to their wedding photographer as well – the awesome Benjamin Toms is a Kent wedding photographer who’s been a friend of mine and a blog sponsor for a while now. Sarah said, “We were absolutely thrilled with our wedding photographer – Ben has a natural gift at capturing moments, and he is a real gent, he was a delight to spend the day with!” – Check him out here:

I almost pinch myself whenever I see Gemma and Gordon’s wedding photos – they’re just so incredibly beautiful. And what an amazing venue – Finchcocks Musical Museum is as cool as it sounds and then some. Gemma told me their theatrical wedding venue had “old style pianos everywhere, amazing walled garden and wild gardens, high ceilings and wooden floors…” and the images show musical ephemera everywhere – just. wow.

I adore Gemma’s dress, her hair and her pretty bouquet. The images of today’s gorgeous bride in a disused room at the venue are eerily beautiful – you’ll love them.

There are so many little nooks and crannies around Finchcocks for beautiful photos, and I owe huge thanks to Steven from Duntons Photography for sharing so many of those with us today. Please do look at his website, Kent brides and grooms especially!

It’s the first time I’ve blogged a wedding with a pet hedgehog called Derek – who inspired much of the theme for Liz and Paul’s countryside wedding at Surrey’s Coltsford Mill. They had little hedgehog stamps on their stationery, and even adorable little hedgehog cake toppers… who I’m calling Derek and Mrs Derek!

Bride Liz looks amazing in a Lusan Mandongus designer wedding dress, with exquisite lace detailing and the most beautiful back and train – she’s simply stunning isn’t she? Paul is her perfect match, and I’m so proud to feature such a lovely couple on the English Wedding Blog today.

Hello my lovely! It’s wedding time again, and today we’re heading to The Great Barn in Rolvenden, Kent, for Chantal and Alex’s spring wedding. It’s beautiful – highlights are the styling and decor for the barn, which Chantal describes as a blank canvas. The paper lanterns are quirky and different, I think you’ll love them!

Chantal’s wedding report includes some great advice for other couples: “Make sure you take time to yourselves as the day goes so fast and remember something will always go wrong but it really isn’t important, just remember the reason why you are getting married!” – there’s plenty more to read so do grab a cuppa and scroll right down to the end today. The lovely images from Penny Young Photography are just gorgeous so if you’re looking for a wedding photographer in Kent do check her out!
