I know a lot of you lovely brides and grooms to be live in and around Buckinghamshire – and today I have a very special feature for all of you. The charming folks at Stoke Place asked if we could come and visit their magnificent wedding venue and write about it on the blog. Luckily I was having an email chat with wedding photographer Damion Mower on the same day (Damion is one of our recommended wedding photographers and a regular feature on English Wedding) and he very kindly went along on behalf of us all to have a nosey around and tell us all about Stoke Place! – Damion, thank you! – It’s an incredibly beautiful venue with a choice of ceremony rooms and extensive landscaped gardens… as you’re about to see from the photos Damion took for us.

Nestled in the gorgeous Buckinghamshire countryside, approximately 30 minutes outside of London is the stunning Stoke Place country house. If you’re in the throes of deciding on your wedding venue then a visit to Stoke Place should certainly be on your shortlist. As you drive into the 26 acre estate you’re greeted by a mature row of hornbeam trees leading you to the country house.

Happy Wednesday you lovely people! I’m happy to be introducing another new member of the English Wedding team today. Super talented Buckinghamshire wedding photographer Damion Mower joins us and will be sharing some of his beautiful weddings on the blog in the coming months. We first featured Damion’s images when we shared gorgeous Malin and Simon’s Swallows Oast wedding on the blog last month – they left such a glowing review for Damion, and I personally loved how his shots captured the story of their day. So – brilliant news – there’ll be more where that came from and I’d love for you to take a couple of minutes and scroll through some of Damion’s very best shots. Stop and look, and you’ll smile, feel all warm and fuzzy inside, and perhaps even giggle (those heels are high for such a cute little guy!) I’ll hand over to Damion to introduce himself…

Sublime calligraphy, a magnificent venue and a dream dress make today’s wedding blog a real treat. Jennifer and Marcus married at Buckinghamshire’s beautifully boutique hotel Stoke Place in early summer, and their wedding has timeless style and effortless elegance – I hope you will love it as much as I do!

Shot on a beautifully sunny day in June, this & the locations made for a quintessentially English wedding, all the more unusual because Jennifer is from the US. The clash of cultures was what made it memorable as we had celebrations & ceremonies from each country.

Stoke Place is a wonderful venue, bright & airy, the light is fantastic for me as a photographer. The gardens made it easy to have everyone outside, but also have enough space to take Jennifer & Marcus off for some photos of the two of them without everyone else being able to see us. Isabel Smith’s wedding planning made for a very smooth day as she coordinated with Stoke Place.
