There’s a skill to making your wedding personal: and it’s not about quantity (miles of bunting is no fun…) but about quality. It’s about choosing a few select, unique, beautifully handcrafted details which will amaze your guests, thrill your creative senses and live in your memory forever. As a wedding blogger I get to discover these first hand. The internet is a treasure trove of the most amazing details… and sitting pretty at the very top of the pile is the fabulous Middo Shoes.

Irregular Choice are famous for their alternative wedding shoes – and let’s be honest, a bit of a marmite brand! They’re not for delicate, traditional brides; but for shoe lovers and creative, quirky brides they’ve been favourites for years.

They’ve launched a new winter collection and I’ve been bursting to show you! Some I love, some I can’t decide on, and some I’ve chosen not to share here(!) – as I say: marmite. Make your own mind up!

Above: I love the flowers and the detailing on this shoe: it’s called Mrs Lower and is available in silver or gold (the heel and flower colour changes). There’s so much detail – definitely a statement bridal shoe for creatively minded brides! LOVE

And below… pearls and bows, kitties and boots… I can’t decide if these are up my street or not! What do you think?

Hello everyone! How was your weekend? I’ve been a busy bee working on the blog but I managed to sneak outside for a little sunshine too. This morning I wanted to show you the latest lace bridal shoes by Freya Rose, which landed in my inbox late last week. They’re so delicately pretty and intricately detailed, a feminine and flattering choice for summer brides.

Unique and intricate embroidery techniques are used by fine craftsmen synonymous to the Freya Rose brand to create the divine detail on Hanna, which sees a large flower hand embellished with delicate ivory beads and crystals.”

Hello everyone! I’m sharing a lovely discovery – truly unique wedding shoes you can design for yourself! Simple, elegant and genius 🙂

Are you fussy about your wedding shoes? If you can’t afford the top designer brands but you’re looking for something more special than the high street, then this is your answer! Dessine-moi un soulier translates as “design me a shoe” – and it does exactly what it says on the tin!design your own wedding shoes dessine moi un soulier (2)

Julia told me all about Dessine-moi un soulier where brides-to-be, as well as the bridal party (and me, quite possibly!) can go online and create beautiful shoes from scratch. I had a little play with their online design tool which really was fun to use (go on, try it!).

Founded in 2011, the company is growing quickly in France and many of their costumers are brides-to-be. What could be more perfect than to create the perfect shoes for the perfect day?

Brand new! Rainbow Couture’s new styles at Perdita’s Wedding Shoes

This week we were very excited to receive the new range of Rainbow Couture wedding shoes. In particular we all loved the Desario and Orvietto styles which are covered in beautiful crystals and would look stunning in any colour. The amazing detailing creates sparkles in every light and when you dance the night away with your new husband your shoes will add that perfect Cinderella touch.

I wanted to pass on just a snippet of news for you this morning – in my inbox is a discount on bridal shoes from Love Your Shoes.

They have all the lovely white and ivory strappy sandals you’d expect from Dolcis and Lotus – prices are down to around £40 for every shoe. The range also includes bridesmaid shoes and a couple of little flower girl shoes.

My favourite bridal shoe has to be the alternative one: this Dolcis Corsage Peep Toe Platform gets top of the class for any quirky bride on a budget.

At this point I should stress that Kate Middleton will probably be wearing at least one of these styles on her wedding day. (Everyone else is saying it, right? They’ll be flogging everything from hats to lawnmowers with that one. It’s not true, of course.)
