Hi! I’m Lisa.
I am a wedding and couples photographer based near Birmingham, West Midlands. I travel around the UK photographing fun couples in love and tell unique & joyful stories all over the world.

My style is fun, candid and natural with a little bit of romance mixed in. I love clean vibrant colours that have a relaxed fun feel to them.

Happy June! Where did May go… is it just me or is 2018 flying by?! I’m delighted to be sharing a wedding from one of our exclusive little team of sponsors on the blog today – lovely Birmingham wedding photographer Clive Blair. Clive’s a documentary-styled wedding photographer, based in Birmingham and working throughout the UK and abroad for couples who want a relaxed and informal style of wedding photography. We think he’s fab!

James and Lizzie married at Bordesley Park Farm in Beoley Vale, Worcestershire – an exclusive wedding venue surrounded by 500 acres of beautiful countryside giving the perfect backdrop for a wonderful wedding. The weather was gloriously sunny from beginning to end – and Clive’s golden hour shots of the happy couple are just breathtaking!

I tried my dress on at a wedding fair with Jamie, to prove to him it wasn’t the kind of style I wanted. Little did I know I’d fall in love with it and so when I went to try on dresses at the store I made sure it was pulled amongst others to try, just to make sure it was what I wanted – even though I pretended to Jamie that I hadn’t bought that one and gone with another!

For a wedding photograph to catch my eye, it has to make me feel something. Whether that’s a warm fuzzy feeling or a sense of excitement and anticipation will depend on the image. Sometimes I find myself smiling at the screen before me, or lifting my hand away from the screen and stopping in my tracks as I scroll – because I want to take it all in. I have always had a little motto when choosing images for the English Wedding Blog – “never delete a grandma” – this is why.

Clive Blair is a Birmingham wedding photographer whose images all have that something that stops me in my tracks and makes me feel something. Just look at the selection we’ve chosen to share with you today, and you’ll see what I mean. Because after the big day it’s not about the styling or florals anymore: your dress and suit will be packed away; stationery forgotten and cake all gone – but the memories held in your images will last a lifetime and more.
