I may overuse the word epic to describe the weddings I feature on here. Today’s though… well it feels as though epic doesn’t come close. So I’m bringing you Lily & Gareth’s spectacularly legendary wedding which I have a feeling will knock you off your FEET! This gorgeous pair made their day individual, full of joy and colour, stuffed it with bags of personality and left me reeling in a rainbow of glorious images. Lily’s dress is by our favourite Jo Fleming – and it is literally the most beautiful creation I’ve seen any bride wearing, ever.
I just don’t know where to begin… the fabulous details, tipis stuffed with flowers and lanterns and soft, warm lighting? Or maybe the charming outdoor ceremony and nervous excitement shining from today’s couple’s eyes… There’s just so much romance and rustic charm in today’s tipi wedding I’m dying to show you!
Mark and Chris planned their wedding in just 6 months, and saved money by recruiting friends and family to help out: “Where you can make things yourself or find someone to do it for you, do… it adds a real personal touch and it’s half the price.” This meant they could afford a fabulous venue, wedding planner and photographer… and I’m so thrilled they did!
Hi everyone! I hope you’re having a fab day. I’ve just discovered this tipi event and I really wish I could go! It sounds amazing, doesn’t it? Plus it’s at the gorgeous Bawdon Lodge Farm which featured on the English Wedding Blog in a country wedding styling article last summer.
Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th April 11am to 4pm
Are you searching for a unique personalised wedding venue? Perhaps you’re planning a festival style wedding. Then make sure you visit the Sami Tipi Open Weekend at Bawdon Lodge Farm on Saturday 19th April and Sunday 20th April.
I’ve always been an advocate of finding wedding suppliers you ‘click’ with. Choose a photographer who understands you both; find a venue you’re comfortable in, and hire a stationer bursting with enthusiasm for your wedding style and theme. Now, wedding suppliers come in all shapes and sizes, and today I’ve found you one with wheels and wipers. She’s adorable – full of character and class, a lifetime of adventures behind her, and if you meet her I have a feeling you’ll fall head over heels in love with her! Say hello to Dolly the vintage wedding campervan!
I remember a year or so ago on the blog one of the brides whose vintage wedding featured on the blog told me about a cupboard under the stairs which was full to bursting with a secret stash of cups and saucers she’d been collecting. Today’s blog post has as many ideas for a relaxed rustic wedding as that bride had teacups in her cupboard. Fact.
