Happy weekend, my lovelies! I’m busy teaching a modern calligraphy workshop at the fabulous Little Paper Shop in Nantwich, Cheshire today (head over to my insta @bymoonandtide for behind the scenes pics!) but of course I saved up something wonderful to share on English Wedding while I’m there! Senel from Bride and Belle and lovely Eva Tarnok used the history of Chiswick House as a basis of the inspiration for this wonderfully feminine and romantic, classic bridal editorial.

The images tell the love story of Elisabeth, an English lady, and her Italian suitor. Using a colour palette of soft pinks and neutral tones paired with gold details reflects the romantic and classical feel of this shoot, combined with a Fine Art aesthetic. The graceful, romantic and feminine images celebrate the historical nature of the building, which is transformed into a stunning wedding venue with lots of beautifully styled details.

Photobooths are my favourite thing when I’m letting my hair down and enjoying a real life wedding – fact. I love the giggles and fun of dressing up; but I also love the escape from the formality of the day, sometimes. I’d love to see more photobooths with a real focus on style and being a treat for guests to enjoy. The Boho Booth is just perfect…

The Boho Booth is in a vintage campervan. So for me, it’s instantly a winner! Hire the Boho Booth and you get a self operated camper photo booth with instant high quality studio finish photographs and elegant vintage, boho and quirky styling. There’s a boho box with signs and props, but the Boho Booth are keen to point out this is a photobooth for couples who want a booth experience without the cheesy party props.

They even have optional extras for your day, which sounds pretty amazing: a glitter station, guest book keepsake and fresh flower crowns – which beat the tacky feather boa and outsized plastic sunnies any day!

More than anything else I value true craftsmanship and style in the wedding industry. Mass-produced, bland styling touches turn me cold… but show me breathtaking style from independent designers and I fall head over heels in love. Today’s wedding inspo comes from the very best: creatives, artisans and designers whose work I truly adore.

A few simple – but beautifully crafted – details can go a long way on your wedding day. Choose statement pieces and use them sparingly: a stunning dress; a unique and different bouquet and hair accessory – these are the details which will make you feel incredible and ensure your day is truly special. The blue dress is Eden by Claire Pettibone – a stunning favourite from her beautiful Couture Collection, supplied by Yorkshire’s White Room Bridal Boutique. Paper magnolias and the stunning floral hair accessories are by designer and illustrator Amy Swann.
