I meet the loveliest humans sometimes – and today I’m here to tell you all about somebody who I’ve discovered is especially special! (If that wasn’t already a thing, it needs to be!) It takes a lot to manage a successful wedding business: superhuman dedication; insane organisational skills; creativity and above all kindness, empathy and that certain something which makes someone a real “people person”. When I did a quick introduction to Michelle from Elegante by Michelle J on the English Wedding insta and on our facebook page last week, the replies I got told me a LOT about this amazing lady. The reviews on her website do likewise; and while I haven’t met Michelle in person, I just know she’s something special.
Morning beautiful! Is it just me or is it chilly as anything today? I’m in jumpers – yep, plural!! But maybe it’s me? I hope summer comes back soon! … Enough of me though, as I have a FABULOUS wedding to share with you today. Their day is a wonderful combination of everything a wedding should be: elegance and grace, love and family, and pure, relaxed, happiness from beginning to end. Hey Lovely! I’m having the busiest day with calligraphy orders in my little studio today, so apologies for the slightly later-than-usual blog post! I’m excited to share this pretty folk festival styled wedding which was done on a tight budget, believe it or not! The personal touches make this day ever so special: both Lauren & Stefan are involved with the morris dancing & folk music scene, which adds a wonderful traditional, old English flavour to their day! The gorgeous couple had a friend play Lauren down the aisle and were given a morris guard of honour as they left the church before having a dance. They used Lauren’s fathers old American Camaro for the transport and had two different bands in the evening, one of which was Stefan’s dad’s band!
